Staying in the European mix is our number 1 goal along with the revenue it generates.
Unless we strengthen a few positions I do not see us finishing high enough to qualify.

If by "European mix" you specifically mean Champions League, much like last season we'll probably be in the right area and it'll come down to a few results on whether we just creep inside or outside.

Fifth looks very likely to be good enough, and unless something odd happens it'll probably be two of us, Chelsea and Spurs who are in those positions.

Pulling off a result at the weekend would definitely help though.

I think that’s right Dave.  Those 2 wins v Arsenal last year were sooo important.  We need a result, like beating Chelsea on Sunday, to kick start our season in the PL.  Get one and we’ll go on a run.  I don’t feel like we’ve gotten going yet in the domestic league but we’re still in the mix.

Monchi would jump at the chance to re-sign Dougie.

I'd approve of this, as without "Douglas Luiz, ole, ole" and "when you, pass to Dougie...Dougie, Dougie" songs, I don't feel like I've annoyed my better half in Bern or Bruges quite as much as Amsterdam, Lille etc by singing them at her on repeat.

Is that based on anything? I’d bloody love to have him back.

This quote to Gazetta translated.

Quote
"After his farewell, we invested and in midfield we are well placed with Tielemans, Onana, Kamara, Barkley… But I would always take Douglas back, from any club: he is very strong."

Wulfs would never sell to us. A pity, he'd be our shining star.

Swap with Buendia + cash maybe. Still hoping Buendia can show what he can do with us but seems a long way down Emery's list at the moment.

Martin Odegaard. I reckon he'd work well in our midfield. Ethan Nwaneri, their 17 year old attacking right midfielder can join him too. Both wasting their time at a club like Arsenal.

Hell yeah. I would love dougie back. Are we going to let a bad 6 months put us off? He was generally awesome for us for so many years.

Make it happen Monchi!

We need an injection of pace in the last third of the pitch.

I've no idea who that could be regarding budget or availability, but I'd bring back Louie Barry anyway as he's running hot and costs us nothing.

If juventus havent paid us the full transfer fee. Couldnt we just "cancel" the amount they owe to get dougie back?

Not sure how it all works but wondering if that would save us money if that makes sense in this type of scenario

They have PSR considerations,so it’s not that simple.its not about cash.
The amount owing is not the problem, we would have to pay them whatever value he was taken onto their Balance Sheet, less 6 months amortisation.

No, of course we couldn't.

Will Juve be able to afford the rest of the fee after what they paid the ref last night?
