Will Juve be able to afford the rest of the fee after what they paid the ref last night?

One positive, it's better to have this higher standard of enemy now.

Yes, I noticed on the Guardian match report BTL comments that we're now being gaslighted over decisions going against us by unicycling, cereal munching, wearing plus fours unironically European hipster types rather than you common or garden English type.

This is progress.

Quote from: Jonathan Liew, Grauniad
Last season Douglas Luiz, Moussa Diaby and Leon Bailey combined for 34 goals in all competitions. Only the slightly wayward Bailey remains. Rogers started brightly but has regressed a little in recent weeks. The result is an ever-sharper reliance on Watkins: 29% of their xG last season, 35% this season.
Just a reminder of our challenges going into December, before the January window.

If juventus havent paid us the full transfer fee. Couldnt we just "cancel" the amount they owe to get dougie back?

Not sure how it all works but wondering if that would save us money if that makes sense in this type of scenario

No, of course we couldn't.

Sorry i didnt word it very well i meant if lets say they owed us 30m of the tarnsfer still, we bid 35m where  actively we  pay them only 5m

As much as we all like him, I'm not sure using what spending power we have got in January would be best served on another midfielder in Douggie. We need a quality right back option and some pace on both wings.

We need a Baena  type not a Dougie type.

conceicao is the only one from juve i'd be interested in. looks like the new overmars. If theres money oweing from the luiz transfer we should leverage it to make a deal. He's the right age and profile we could double our money after two seasons. The kid was a total pest last night twisting turning accelorating...diving just what i like to see from a winger. It wouldn't be the first time we signed somone who played well against us in europe.

It would be a bit unique to sign a guy who intentionally caused the injury to our best young player that is still hampering him nearly 18months later though. Conceicao has talent but he's a wanker and I'd hate to see us go for him.

I think it's unlikely we'll do the big kind of deals we need to do in January really.  Teams seem to be doing less business during that period and I can see it being revised at some point in the near future, as I'm not sure how much more disappointment Jim White and the "My sources tell me" clowns at Sky Sports News can take.

Juve don't even own Conceição. He's on a season long loan deal from Porto but they're trying to turn it into a permanent deal.

I thought no's 5 & 8 looked very comfortable, albeit in a very 'safety first' system.

Koopmeiners is a good player, and the big Chiellini-a-like at the back played well.

From the Beebs Gossip column.

We are interested in Turkish forward, Semih Kilicsoy and German Nadiem Amiri. I cant help further with either..

Him, Locatelli and Thuram are a great midfield three. It's not an accident that DL can't really get much of a kick in their midfield.
