If Emery wants him Emry should have him, if that is what the boss thinks he can use to unlock this season, get him now, would anybody argue the point that we all know the one thing Emry is world class at  and that's getting the best out of a player that others have failed to do, he's been after him ever since he's been at Villa park, we have to have faith in his demands and needs for his plan, get him in.

It's a no for me on Felix.

I can just imagine him loping around half-heartedly.

Didn't want to come before, fuck him, you don't get endless chances.

Yep it screams would be here under duress

Yeah, I wouldn't want him either, particularly if not a loan. It's just not a financial risk that is worth taking.

Personally God was mentioned so that's why I added to discussion.
Did you know:
A player can be inspired by God which helps him or her . That is only a good thing.
That is all I would say without drawing this debate out
Let's peacefully enjoy that knowledge that some of our players gain strength from God.

Why has God helped Man City so much recently though? Or is Allah just better at helping footballers? Is that the real reason why they’ve been so good since the Abu Dhabi takeover?

Slightly off topic but this actually works as the best answer to why the rebuttal from Ashtonvilla isn't great.

As an atheist/agnostic all you need to do is show that there is no evidence that a god has to exist. As a follower of any religion you not only have to prove that a god (or gods) exist, but also that you've backed the right horse.

That's why 'prove there isn't a god' is a weak argument, I don't need to, I just need to prove that the evidence you cite applies to lots of other religions for you to be wrong.

It wasn't a rebuttal, just stating that I believe in God,if people don't believe I am happy with that but will put in a good word for those that don't when the time comes,

Prove there isn’t a miniature teapot orbiting the sun, as Bertrand Russell put it.

Agreed. I don’t expect players to be head over heels in love with Aston Villa and crawl on broken glass to sign for us, but turning us down is a big red flag.

Although on the other hand my missus did turn me down the first time and we’ve been together 26 years now…

Aston Villa’s move for Juan Foyth is not currently progressing & looks unlikely as things stand.

Felix is Juninho. Not McCarthy. He's Juninho. Not a chance we sign him. Would put in less effort than Curcic.

I think with Felix you'll get Coutinho at Villa and not the Inter/Liverpool one. You'll get 30 seconds of magic and 90 minutes of "warm up you're coming off".

In the summer I was interested in Felix joining, but once he chose Chelsea again it made me think he’s not really in it for the hard yards.

Felix is potentially exactly the type of player we need. Someone who can pick the right pass, at the right time & offer a goal threat too. But there's obviously some concerns. A loan would minimise those risks. But financially I can't see it happening.

Buendia isn't good enough to play as a No:10 & Rogers is, understandably, inconsistent. So much of our threat goes through that position that it's crucial we get it right.

I may be wrong here, but us there any hard evidence he turned us down for Chelsea in the summer, or did he just take only only firm offer on the table for him to get out of Madrid?

That wasn't the frame of reference. All you have to prove for what? All I have to prove for what? I am not interested in convincing you to believe, and I am not claiming I can prove anything. I only make the point that absence of evidence is not proof of something not existing, and atheists can be a tad sanctimonious in not recognising this.

We can't see infrared, and only know it exists now due to science. However it was still real before it was discovered. Humans are limited. The world is full of things that could not have been known in the past but have been revealed to be fact now.

The only reason I commented at all was because someone that does believe got jumped on and lampooned. They were not trying to convince anyone of anything, just putting their belief out there. I am a Christian but would have defended a Muslim, Buddhist or other religious believer too.

Regards Felix not coming in the summer, I don't think he snubbed us. Wasn't it more the case we were not able to make an offer due to FFP.
