He's the difference compared to when Bouba was injured in Feb 2024.  The drop-off then was noticeable, because we had no like-for-like replacement at a comparable level.  If he can stay fit, he can do that Kamara role to a very high level.  For all our complaints about squad depth, we're very lucky to have two players like them.

Those telescopic legs hook around tackles that he does… he has no right to get the ball in those situations and it makes such a big difference in breaking up play or regaining possession. Keep thinking that of these day, a leg is going to fall off while attempting one.

Yep, he does it a couple of times a game, just wins a ball he has no right to get anywhere near. He's probably the best ball winner we have had in midfield since Boateng.

“Yes, I think one day I’ll make a transfer to a world-class club. That’s really a career goal. I’m 24 and I feel like I’ve matured. In the past few months, I’ve played my best football ever. Unai Emery helped me progress even further.”

“After my time at Everton, I was already in contact with top clubs. Ultimately, I chose Aston Villa because I thought it was the right move at the time.”

Well, my feelings are hurt. Villa aren't a world-class club? Tsk!

Poor last night...
His telescopic legs were being used to recover mistakes he himself was making, putting himself at risk of injury at a time we can ill-afford that.
Needs to play with more intelligence.

Christ I thought this was going to be an injury post.

I was half expecting an apology for his performance last night.

He's going to be really important to us now, and its imperitive he doesn't get injured. But he knows that, so played as though he was scared of getting injured and was hence, only about 50% effective so not that important to us.

The problem with that statement is we all know he is talking about Chimney Botherers FC - it is that faint of wind don't you know.

Bit odd to say that out loud, isn't it? He needs to stay fit for a while first if he wants a 'world class' move. Maybe it didn't translate so well.

His technical ability and close control isn’t good enough for the Barcelona’s and Real Madrids of this world
