The ref has only allowed for 5 minutes added on despite 2 goals, 2 reds, loads of fouls and subs. He must have been the ref for our game vs PSG at Villa Park.

Red card for Belotti of Benfica. Not much contact but he was very high.

Linked with a transfer to Villa at least two or three times over the last decade.

And Antonio made his first game since his car crash, at the age of 35

Well, that's good. I'd assumed he would never play again.

Thiago Silva starting for Fluminense, no sign of Marcelo who I thought had gone back there.
I did spot Paulo Henrique Ganso, on the Flu bench, who was supposed to be the next big thing around the time Neymar came through.

There was a bust-up last season, and he left by mutual consent. He subsequently announced his retirement.

Fluminense has a player called Hercules. Surely we should sign him.

Ah I didn’t realise, that would explain it.
Flu are you’re team aren’t they?

Yes, decent first-half from them and they've probably been the better team so far.

I only caught the last few minutes but the commentators said similar.

England u19's losing 4-1 before half time. No Villa players on so no surprise.

Yeah, they’ve strolled through the defence.

Finishes 0-0, Fábio keeps a clean sheet in his 1,370th club game.

South American sides holding their own so far, although it is the middle of the season for them.
