Nah, we are potentially away that day.

My mistake, I had seen the date of next round as 12th March, but now noticed it is a must be played by date, not preferred date.

Burton in the Birmingham Senior Cup, that's a bit too Manchester-y for my liking!

Burton Town (a precursor to Burton Albion) won it in 1926, so it's not a recent development.

I saw Burton play at Stourbridge in that very tournament. It was between their two FA Cup games with Manchester United so there was a fair old national press turn-out. Burton didn't take the game seriously and I think they lost 5-0, with a hat-trick from a player who in true non-league style had to go off early because he was due on the night shift. His name was Bellingham and his lads play football now.

Burton Albion played Tamworth in the final in the 90s. Two Staffordshire towns where all football comes under Birmingham County FA yet Lichfield is Staffs FA.

Burton United played in claret and blue.

Not sure what colours Burton Swifts and Burton Wanderers played in; the other Burton League sides.

Swifts, red and white quarters, blue shorts and socks.

Wanderers, blue and white stripes, black shorts and socks.

Spoiler for Hiden:
Form an orderly queue, ladies. There's more where this came from.

Unless it has changed, Birmingham County FA's sphere  of control was within a thirty mile radius from Bull Street in town.
