Again close to the second goal. Great save from their keeper although shot should have been lifted.

They are very comfortable on the ball.

Awful mistake on Mings picking it up levels.

Finished 1-3. Up until the clanger for the third, we were looking well the better side, but as normal for a Villa side, didn't take the chances when we had them.

Yes, really had a go after the break. In a strange way, it's somehow better to lose by a couple than let the late blunder cost the game. Poor lad.

Ben Broggio has signed a new long term contract at Aston Villa.

Rory Wilson contract back on the table according to Tanswell.

Anyone actually seen him play? Scored a hatful for us and Rangers at youth level, wonder if Duran's departure has had something to do with this.

Just read that, he’s been injured most of the season it seems not bomb squaded as I’d certainly assumed.

I hope he re-signs as there is a player there…once fit definitely needs to play some mens football as he looks like a good finisher but needs to be tested more.  Would guess a contract with a season long loan somewhere that he will play would be good

Would be great news if he signed. I confess I'd pretty much written off any chance of him still being here next year

I have, neat, tidy, good technique controlling and moving the ball, good movement. Didn't look like he had pace and, given his age, lacked physicality.

In all, he didn't stand out but that was on the evidence of just one game

I've watched a fair few U18 and U21 games and what's special about him is the same thing that makes Asensio so good for us, he always seems to find himself in half a yard of space when it matters.

Ignore that and he's a decent young player with good and bad things about his game but his ability to find space gets him a lot of goals. When watching young strikers I usually prefer ones like him to the ones who are lightning quick or strong because that often doesn't carry them through at senior level to the same extent and they have to relearn how to play to be less reliant on the physical advantages they'd relied on.
