What was that bit in the reveal video about, where someone in orange fancy dress runs in front of a car?

A reference to Villa fans in fancy dress as traffic cones at Palace away last season.

I wonder if this is tied into the 150th anniversary and the prominent influence of Scots on our early history.

I heard it's bright orange with a blue chest.

The Isles of Scilly aren't in Scotland.

Just watching the Villa on Tour video about the new kit and at the end he says he'll reveiw the away and 3rd jerseys when they come out too, and then says something like an inside tip about the 3rd is that John McGinn will love it.

Is it.......tartan?

People are missing the obvious connection with his perchance for going to Dublin. Shirt has a black body with the top and shoulders being white.

Maybe it's got a spaghetti pattern on it, so he can look like a proper meatball.

Dark Blue? Green and white stripes? A kilt instead of shorts?

Have any Scottish teams ever done that? Seems a great marketing opportunity, as long as they guard against Paul Scholes moments...

Nice.

Slightly daft, but I reckon the 'Ramsay Blue Ancient' tartan would be a good shout both in terms of the George Ramsay connection but also it might not look awful as a shirt ..

I'd rather it be a side panel, a bit like the latest England kit, rather than the whole shirt.

The MacGregor tartan is red and green, like the new training clobber for coaches and players.
Not just thrown together…

Half of that lot should have patchwork guilt for delivering sod-all at the Villa.

Getting messages from non Villa fans who are loving the promo video.
Apologies if I've missed this or should know the answer....but who is the older guy in the changing room offering to play down the middle or on the left?

Apparently nobody famous, just a regular fan.

My lad thought it was the umbrella man ( no need for explanation)
Which I thought was a good shout, it’s obviously not or it would have come out by now

That would have been brilliant.

Someone called Jeni Burton said on Facebook "my husband" - i had to look at the profile,  and her husband looked very much like the guy,  so could be true
