Just watching the Villa on Tour video about the new kit and at the end he says he'll reveiw the away and 3rd jerseys when they come out too, and then says something like an inside tip about the 3rd is that John McGinn will love it.

Is it.......tartan?

Dark Blue? Green and white stripes? A kilt instead of shorts?

Have any Scottish teams ever done that? Seems a great marketing opportunity, as long as they guard against Paul Scholes moments...

Nice.

Extra revenue from offering sponsor-less shirts is going to be significantly less than the reduction in what the sponsor is going to pay you to have that as a possibility. I suppose there's the intangible of goodwill in offering supporters this option, but that's trifling.

No idea why West Ham do it

Are there no kids socks on sale?

Check the size guide. It's looks like there is nibseoarstuiinnfrin adult to child kits. My lad is a 2 so fine for XS (I think) which is size 12-2.5.

Brilliant, thank-you. Not sure why they do it that way, but hey-ho…

My missus strictly forbids me from wearing a Villa shirt. Not even the white ‘82 one. But I am tempted. It’s a lovely thing.

I really should check before I post...

Autocorrect clearly isn't working, and I'm not checking either!

So yes, no differential between adult and child socks... All in same sales spot with full range of sizes.

There's probably a rule against it, but they could wear korts (I think I made that up) which is kilt over shorts in one thingy.

Absolutely love the new home shirt but boy AVFC don't half make it difficult to spend money with them, I spent 4 hours queueing with my lad on Tuesday to buy a shirt from the club shop - we were going to customise with Champions League badges but another hour's queue for customisation with an already sun burnt bonce was the final straw. Yes, I know I should have gone to JD Sports at The Fort instead LOL!

Morton had tartan shirts in the mid 90’s. Can’t be arsed looking up pictures but seem to remember they were unusual

I wonder if this is tied into the 150th anniversary and the prominent influence of Scots on our early history.

What was that bit in the reveal video about, where someone in orange fancy dress runs in front of a car?
