Putting gold on your kit when you've won fuck all is something more small heath than us... although, I'm now betting they do something on our 150th...
Since when has this been a thing?  I think the gold trim looks really good.

It should look good, it's gold!

But surely in the sporting world, you wear gold when you've won something?

Never thought that in terms of football kit trim tbh.

Maybe it's just me. I think it's been pretty rare for gold on kits, but seems to be the fashion now.

Didn't Leicester wear gold trim for their relegation?

There has been some sports where the kits might have some gold to represent being Olympic champions, for example a gold bike or gold within the cycling jersey for winning cyclists (And always being able to wear rainbow trims if they have won a World Championship in one of the diciplines) . But it isn't something I have ever seen within football. The only thing there is the stars for European Cup wins and even that has been a choice matter.

I just mean it looks tacky putting gold on your football kit when you haven't done anything deserving of it.

And I agree with myself!  8)

The Newcastle retro adidas training gear, like the Germany and Italy stuff, is incredible.  I really hope we get that

Like 150 years celebration of being a football club - rather special one too...

I imagine ours will be just as nice as theirs. The Castore training and pre match stuff was excellent.

If ours looks anything like that I am going to be out a few quid this year. The hoodie and jacket look great.
