Makes me sad that my daughter was born a month after we beat Liverpool 7-2.

Although Ollie Watkins would be an odd name for a girl.

I didn't think I would be going to PSG away as I lost my job after Xmas and couldn't justify another European trip. My lad who is also Villa mad is living in Melbourne at the moment and messaged me on Sunday asking about the trip. I told him unfirtunately  I wasn't going. A minute later he sent hotel and travel details for Paris and explained that he had secretly arranged with mates of mine from the Bournemouth Lions to pay for the trip on my behalf.  I was a little emotional at such an amazing gesture...

I've got some dust in my eye reading this, dammit! An amazing and truly uplifting story. Your son is clearly a remarkable young man, you must be (rightly) very proud of him. UTV

Marvellous. I don't have a son but I was thinking the other day if I had one what would he do for me? Well this is one thing I would love. Well done to your boy dv.

Great to read.

Big up to the Bournemouth Lions, several of whom I met on the train heading to Wembley in 2010, when I was living in Brighton.

That is absolutely brilliant - good on you and your son too.

Wish I’d had kids now….

You can never tell though Pat. I had a few, and only the youngest two are bothered about going to the match. The rest of ‘em just wanted to sell the fanzine.

To the surprised of nobody, PSG get their game against Nantes postponed so they'll be nice and rested. UEFA shouldn't allow this nonsense.

PSG asked, and they play in a poxy league that only plays 34 games so it was feasible to agree. I don't really blame them or the French League. UEFA need to intervene to ensure fairness.
