I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I suspect that Marcus Rashford won't be left out of the CL squad.

So what's the situation? We can only add two players to the squad? What about players who were in the last one who left?

We can add any three of our five new players.

We can't include any of the players who've left  ;)

No, we can add 3, as per the link shared above. Players leaving doesn’t change anything.

We can add three but you have to suspect Disasi will be one of them ahead of Garcia, so that leaves two for three attackers.

From Asensio, Rashford and Malen, if it's two we keep in order to allow a defender to be added then I agree it's likely to be Malen that misses out, unfortunately.

You'd pick Disasi over Garcia because we know that Konsa can competently cover RB as well as Disasi.

And unless something odd happens with the draw, most of the hopeful future Champions League matches we might have are likely to be Bayern-style "build on a solid defence" line-ups rather than Bologna-style "front-foot attacking" line-ups.

So Konsa - Disasi - Mings/Torres - Digne rather than an attacking RB.

I'm sure they just keep making up more and more nonsense rules to make it more difficult for us. Everyone else has years of Champions League money. We finally get some... oh you can't pick the players you've signed with it. Ffs.

To be fair, Man City have bought five players, four of them for £30m+ plus, and they can also only register three of them.  It's not like the rich clubs are benefitting more than we are from this rule.

Yes, but Manchester City had a much stronger squad to begin with. We were already playing catch-up, and rules like this make it more difficult to do so. See also: Man City getting more money than us in this season's Group Stage even though we finished FOURTEEN places above them.

Walker and Rodri would be removed, be interesting who else they will take out assuming they want to register one other. I'm also not sure if Walker releases a space depending on the association trained players.

Thanks for the clarifications.

I agree they're all out to get us, the bastards.

I think like us they're not filling their full complement of 8 (4). Club trained they've got Foden, McAtee and Wilson-Esbrand (?)

Association trained they can then add Carson, Grealish, Stones and previously Walker.

They've 14 on top of that, and losing Rodri, so 13, 19 when you add the six above. So I think they're fine to add the same three as we are. So probably just leave one of the two new centre-backs at home. Probably the Brazilian chap.
