Do they have real Bacon in Canada ?or is it that greasy  cardboardy American shite?

Nah it’s shit really. Canadian peameal bacon doesn’t stand up to a good slice of Danish. And don’t get me started on the monstrosity that is American “rashers” the Trump loving twats. As for sauce I’ve gone red or brown. I swing both ways. Doubles my options on a Friday night.
Good point!

Brest v PSG

So they don't keep same country teams apart any more, which makes sense.

I would've been impossible in that block because monaco and benfica were the other 2.

Lots of Brucie bonuses for making the top 8

Don’t have to play 2 extra games in Feb
Make a bag fulls more cash
Second leg at home in last 16 which is massive for us I think
Puts the name of Aston Villa amongst the elite clubs of Europe again

But what about their corn beef? Don’t you agree that it’s much better the shite over here?

Indeed John, indeed. I am delirious with joy at what we have achieved. Now we are regularly referred to as  European elite team.

Currently 11th Favourites to win the whole thing at 33/1 tied with Atalanta. No guesses for the Top 10.

Milan, Dortmund, Juventus, Benfica, Sporting, Monaco, Lille all below us.....

Obviously it's all a big moneyspinning operation so this is moot, but it would have made more competitive sense to have the play off round and last 16 as single leg matches with the 9-16 and 1-8 teams respectively playing at home.

That would have rewarded teams for success in the league section and would have reduced the additional fixture pressure due to the new format.

If it all goes to form and we win the next round, we'll have Liverpool or Barcelona in the QF's, so I really hope we're on the Barca side. I see enough Liverpool.

And everyone would have less money! Hence why.

That's not correct.  We won't know who we face until the draw on the 21st of Feb.  The only things we know is that we'll play one of Bruges, Sporting, BVB or Atalanta in the next round and we can't face Lille until the final.

I'm for some reason convinced if we have to play Liverpool over two legs we'd get an Emery masterclass and dump them out.

Arne was pretty arrogant last time we played them in November. Emery always the same way etc, which isn't actually the case. It would be fooking great to knock them out!

I know it’s probably already been mentioned but assuming we could get by Bruges or Atalanta does that mean we are on course to meet Liverpool in the QF?

It totally depends on which side of the draw we end up on. We won’t find out until 21 Feb

Along with the rest of the Top 8. As it stands the only team we know we can't face until the Final is Lille. But obviously there are at least 8 other teams who will be knocked out before the last 16.

It could be Rotterdam or anywhere, Liverpool with the second leg at home.
