I agree Smithy, but I'm sure the powers that be will be make some adjustments going forward, we can't have any old teams succeeding on merit.

How do top 8 teams end up in top or bottom half? Does it depend on the draw on 21/2 or there are some  predestined order?

It’s better for UEFA and its TV and partner deals that they get some ‘big’ knockout ties in the play off round, in the same way that it was good for the excitement of the league phase that the likes of PSG and Man City were in danger of going out. They’ve come up with a format that is everything the Super League idea wasn’t.

No, it will depend on the draws on the 21st. Only thing we know is that we will be in a different half to Lille.

And that we'll face the winners of either Bruges v Atalanta  or Sporting v Dortmund; tricky but doable,

Yes, sorry. I was specifically referring to the "half of the draw" question.

I know it’s probably already been mentioned but assuming we could get by Bruges or Atalanta does that mean we are on course to meet Liverpool in the QF?

It totally depends on which side of the draw we end up on. We won’t find out until 21 Feb

Along with the rest of the Top 8. As it stands the only team we know we can't face until the Final is Lille. But obviously there are at least 8 other teams who will be knocked out before the last 16.

Lille in the final. I'd take that!

No thanks! I want a nice, safe win.
I'd rather we went 2 up after 5 minutes with Morgan Rogers completing his hat trick in added time. I mean, what could go wrong in between?

The whole of continental europe could be wiped out by an event that somehow leaves the rest of the world unscathed, leaving us to face a team of Faroese farmers in the final and there's still no way it wouldn't be an uncomfortably tight game.

It's just not what we do, one League Cup final aside.

Do they have real Bacon in Canada ?or is it that greasy  cardboardy American shite?

Nah it’s shit really. Canadian peameal bacon doesn’t stand up to a good slice of Danish. And don’t get me started on the monstrosity that is American “rashers” the Trump loving twats. As for sauce I’ve gone red or brown. I swing both ways. Doubles my options on a Friday night.
