If we can get into the top 8 and Liverpool get to the League Cup final, not only do we get an easier February, we get a three-week break in March as well.

That could be great for the squad. Fingers crossed this happens.

So, I’ve just checked after listening to John Townley vaguely rambling on about it. We’ve got a PL game on Tuesday 25th Feb then the weekend off, hopefully CL first leg 4/5th, a PL game on the 8th, CL second leg 11/12th, THEN the Liverpool game we might have to postpone, THEN an international break.

So there’s some much-needed time off at least.

And presumably the Liverpool game would be rescheduled for very late in the season, by which time they could have plausible wrapped up the title.

We've only got the weekend of 1 March off if we go out of the cup

Oh shit. Thanks.

I’d beg - just for once - for an easy home draw, but many would say we’ve had two already.

Good mate , ST holder at Celtic . Initially when drawn he was predicting 20k travelling down . In peace . Now he's saying he doesn't know how many but all he says is they have some bars lined up in Digbeth.
There'll be enough local Celtic to fill the bars , how many travel without tickets no idea but I doubt 20k very much .

That's the thing, it will hardly be a hostile welcome for them in Birmingham seeing as there are a good number of pubs and clubs that would have Celtic links anyway.

They're coming for a party not a war, qualifying for the knockouts is massive for them given how shit they've been in Europe for years.

Maybe, or maybe they have achieved what they wanted by qualifying and won't want to risk injury or anything. They are still in 4 competitions themselves.

I'm hoping with them already qualified there might be a step down in intensity.

Can we play Swinkels at the back?

TNT Sports:
"Now is where it gets interesting, with Aston Villa's fate wholly unknown.
Unai Emery's men won their first three games in this year's competition, but have only won once in their last four, slipping to ninth as it stands, one place outside the automatic qualification spots.

With 14 teams currently having between 12 and 15 points - Villa have 13 - there is going to be a royal bun fight on the final night, with the Villans hosting Celtic targeting a win to boost their top-eight hopes"
