You wait and see how many celtic fans are going to turn up. It will be more than what people think.

Thats my prediction anyway

Agree but don't think they're as wankerish as Rangers fans.

Could the Celtic fans buy GA+ tickets or are they restricted to people with a Villa client ID and booking history?

The home club has to allow for UEFA having over a thousand tickets for distribution to UEFA partners (some free but most the home club get paid for) so it’s inevitable that when Celtic or Rangers are visiting there will be away fans in the home sections. Those tickets also have to be in the higher end price brackets.
On top of that it’ll look like even more Celtic fans are in there because there’ll be Villa fans who buy half and half scarves and don’t have the common sense to hide the green half.

There'll probably be the odd scuffle but if, and I really hope there isn't, there is anything of note it will be more political than football.

This seems to be being overlooked.

Reading this thread you’d think some Mongol horde are about to descend. Usually when these types of things get hyped in the feverish minds of people, the whole thing goes off without a hitch and everyone is then left with egg on their face. I sit near a Hospitality section in the Upper Trinity, I’ll report back with any suggestion of ne’erdowells and ruffians.

A half and half Scarfe is an invitation for a bit of a slap.
Certainly merits an appearance in COTW.

Looks almost certain top 5 will qualify next season. We really need to pull out finger out.

We've had Legia here, and we hosted Hibs last season too. Both went reasonably well given the size of the following etc.

I think it should be ok.

No one will be left with egg on their face as no is saying it will be a warzone. You'd have to be pretty naive though to think that Celtic in Birmingham doesn't have the potential to have issues we wouldn't usually have. Hopefully fuck all happens apart from football.

As I said earlier security is likely to be a bit tighter so getting into the ground will probably be a pain.

There'll be some in home ends, it's impossible to stop it happening. Look at how many thought it was great so many were in the home stands against Monaco.

Bit of a difference between going in the home end against a team with a small number of supports who aren’t fanatical in a ground that’s got a neutral section as well. You pick the games where you do it, anywhere is risky but certain games pose a bigger risk.
