There’s no way I want to be faffing about with the playoffs, even if it did mean a few extra bob. Have you seen the names in the group. We’d get Real Madrid, no doubt about it.

I can think of one person who must be licking his lips at the thought of us having two big extra games.

I’m as much a Heck is a money grabbing wanker as the next man but this makes no sense whatsoever as has been explained about 20 times on this thread.

I'm already looking forward to the 21st.

Same here, but it'll be a tough game at Monaco.

What if he hasn't got a fan ID?

Spoke to the ticket office:

FanID is OK for transferring tickets for league games, but it's insufficient for Chumps League ticket transfers.

You have to have C£ar€t M€mb€r$hip.

That'll be £40, thank you very much!

I might be able to get hold of a claret membership fan ID who isn’t going if you need it?

No worries, just let me know. Think it’ll just be a case of forwarding the email onto you to then put it in the wallet in your phone.

I'm listening to the Guardian Football Weekly podcast. Jonathan Liew just said it was unlikely that Real Madrid would be able to pull off their usual Champions League win this year, and I instinctively thought, 'that's good for us'.

We were recently managed by Steve Bruce.
