Is it not just a case of booing anything to do with the team you're playing? Like booing their players when the teams are read out? I wasn't there, so can't say either way, but football crowds on the whole aren't that well known for intelligent responses.

It was probably the tamest booing you're ever going to hear, it was definitely pantomime as there was clearly light hearted as there was no venom in the boos at all.  I didn't take part in it as wouldn't have felt right with my missus being Italian but it I did chuckle every time though.

The offence in here is laughable tbh, you'd have thought it was booing on the levels of Delphs return when it couldn't have been further away from those levels.

Well it could, because it needn't have happened.

What's laughable is making excuses.

'My best friend.....' etc.

We've been booed most places, on ocassion when we sing, on the rare occasion announcements are in Anglais. Most of the time we're too drunk to notice. Who gives a shit, football is a big pantomime we care far too much about, it's not particularly deep.

I really, really hope the Noses beat Blackpool and we draw them away in the FA Cup. I fucking detest those ******. I'm also looking forward to mingling with friends who support them later at an engagement party. I don't plan on boing them all and calling them ****** at full blast like I would in January at Shite Andrews. Relax gentleman, real life isn't Twitter.

I agree with ads

Its all part of football. You want villa park to be a intimidating place. Not booing for example how is that going to make villa park intimidating?

Obviously racism isnt acceptable in any form but booing isnt racism as we all know

It's not racism. It's not xenophobia. It didn't matter whether they were Italian, German, Dutch or even English. In a keyed up at atmosphere as these Champions League games are, there's going to be booing. Pure and quite literal, theatrical engagement. As is the performative angst about it. As is the...and so on.

If you want evidence the club couldn’t give a shiny shite about the fanbase then this is it.
It’s appalling, 2 months before the game.

Must be a sad life sitting around waiting and looking for things to get offended by.

I wasn't making excuses I was calling it what was and it was pantomime there was no malice at all.

"'My best friend.....' etc."  I think we can all see the accusation you are throwing here. After considering my response after how offensive I've found that accusation I think you should wind your neck in

I presume they're hoping people will buy GA tickets as christmas presents, but yes it's way too early.

Someone reckons it’s in case we lose at Leipzig and Monaco and are stuck between 9th and 24th, thereby rendering the Celtic game pretty meaningless and Heck will then be struggling to shift GA+  and £94 GA tickets, especially with the play off round home leg only 2 or 3 weeks after that.

Also changing the sales time to 0930, no chance I can be able to access this due to being in meetings throughout the day, been to  every home European game so far as well

This is what's passed me off personally,.
OK put the tickets on sale early but give us ST holders longer to secure ours. They could've given us till Christmas to purchase.

There's also possibility of an FACup game to fork out for in the next few weeks too.

Watching the Kettering v Doncaster match. Very similar incident, arm into goalkeeper, as with ours v Juve. Foul also given in this match so probably not just foreign referees.
