Yep no one but ourselves  to blame
All the good work like magic vanished

Just like the league go from 3rd to 6th.

Some of these players nedd to take a long look at themselves. Starting with bailey who has been garbage all season

Nah - Im back at the 4 games in, too early to look at the table stage.

Tbf - would still have bitten someones hand off at 8th after 4 games.

Still in the top eight at the halfway stage. Two points ahead of Man City, Arsenal and Juventus, three clear of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and AC Milan and with a full five point advantage over Paris Saint-Germain.

That was a major fuck up last night.  Could have been comfortable of 12 points with pressure off for the remaining games. No we have to beat two of Juventus, an inform Monaco away, Leipzig away (hopefully they can stay shit as they have been so far), and a resurgent Celtic who will be likely after points.

I think we will end up in the play offs, looking at the remaining fixtures. Hopefully we can then get a decent draw and reach the last 16, which would excellent for our first season back and better than I expected.

Juventus L
Leipzig D
Monaco L
Celtic W

That's what I think we will do, and that will give us 13 points and a possible 12th/13th placed finish, meaning we would be seeded for the knock outs and play a team who finish around 20th, with the 2nd leg at Villa Park.

The worrying thing about play offs is that bayern, real and PSG could be in it. These teams will get better as tournament goes on. Man that defeat last night really has set us back

You know, it hasn’t happened yet.

So, if you were to put:

Juventus  W
Leipzig.    W
Monaco.   W
Celtic.      W

You’d be a lot happier.

Whilst Brugge was terrible there is a lot of over dramatics since then.  Going into this campaign 3 wins 1 defeat form at half way everyone would have been extremely happy with that. If the loss had been vs Bayern instead of Brugge would there have been all this doom and gloom?

It has been a good start to the campaign but expectations and recency bias are naturally causing some concern right now. Same with the Prem. Long old way to go this season and plenty more ups and downs to come.

yep 3 very poor performances in a week on the back of stupidly throwing points down the drain v Bournemouth and even before that some sub par performances (ManUre / Ipswich)
