Would a trout be interested in a chip butty dangling from a line?
Depends how hungry the trout is, unless it was a brummie trout who would no doubt go for it..
I doubt that there are any trout alive in the waterways of Brum.

Not if they have any taste. Love chips, love bread, but chip butties* are shite.

*No offence like.

Any combination of a sandwich consisting purely of bread plus potato is surely absolutely unforgiveable?

Unless it is, say, the 1930s and bread and potato are the only things you get to eat without resorting to rats and grass.

Had a friend in Edinburgh who basically lived off tattie scone rolls that he called 'the carb on carb'.

Fuck that, I love a chip butty. Any excuse to consume butter, to be honest.

Whilst I appreciate the latter sentiment, why put chips in there when it could be bacon?

Fair point, but I really like chips. If I've bought some crap oven chips on offer to save a few quid, I can mask it with bread and butter. You know, really edge on the heart attack.

That must be where Bowie went wrong with his green peppers, milk and coke diet in 1974. He left his wee in the refrigerator too.

What has all this got to do with the Champions League? As you know, I’m a stickler for staying on topic. Can you start a Bowie piss/chip butty thread where all those who want to discuss them can post to their hearts’ content?

Thank you.

I’m assuming any heathen suggesting it was barred from the pub?
