If the club are making £1.5m per game. It will be better to finish 9th rather than 8th.

Interesting point. Chucking Monaco for PSR purposes.

I don't know how the draw works. If you finish 8th, is your next knockout game against one of the teams that comes through from the play-offs?

We get €2.1m for a win, so we're better off beating teams when we can rather than chucking games. In any case, I'd rather have two fewer games.

That's just prize money. What about sponsorship, advertising, TV rights, ticket sales. Is it better to have 2 qualifying games or go straight through to the knockout stages?

For me it's a no-brainer, straight through to the knockout stages. Others may feel differently.

But if we lose that extra play off game then its same really as qualifying in 8th. Id rather not risk it and finish 8th of given choice

No chance we'd throw a game against Celtic anyway.

I'm looking forward to Celtic probably more than our other home ties. The fact that both sides won their opening games makes the possibility of getting 9/10 points achievable. It could be one of those games that you bore the Grandchildren with ' I was there' stories.

I'll be disappointed if we don't have 9/10 points by the time we play Celtic.

You're miles better off finishing 8th to guarantee the funds for qualifying without the risk of the Play Offs.
