The Opta supercomputer believes 16 points from a possible 24 - so five wins and a draw from eight matches, or other combinations - would almost certainly be enough to finish in the top eight, which guarantees a last 16 spot in the New Year.

Fuck me, what a mistake from the Girona keeper to gift PSG a last minute winner.

From the highlights Juve looked good and created plenty of chances so that will be a tough game.

Goals of the round so far, Sporting’s second, Bratislava’s in Glasgow and Juventus’ first goal.

Double check the fixtures on prAVda for September 17th.

1745 Young Boys A ECL
1945 Wycombe A Carabao Cup

Wycombe will get moved and its like that still on a number of sites including the BBC when i looked earlier.

Anyone know how we got on against Wycombe last night?
Check out the Wycombe thread thread.

Iling Junior will be able to play against us. It's quite common on the continent for loan players to play against their parent club. And I think it's the right way to do it. I'm not a fan of the Premier League rule

Didn't Coutinho play, and score, against Barcelona for Bayern when he was on loan there in that 8-2 game?

Andre’s was a decent strike but preferred the other, I missed out Guerreiro’s for Bayern as well.

I looked at the stats bit of the CL site (because I like stats 😃) and I’m a bit puzzled by the ‘tackles’ and ‘distance covered’ elements. Could anybody explain:

* How Villa only won 2 tackles in the match? I thought we’d done better than that! .
* Is the ‘29: ball recovered’ the number of times we got it back off them, in which case you see why I’m confused - they can’t all have been interceptions?

And
*Apparently we covered 112.85 kilometres. Is that good?
*and why is that important? Cheers! 👍

^^ The distance covered was less than them, which is good, because we run less than the opposition in most games, hopefully meaning we’ll be fitter than most towards the end of the season.

MOTD highlights are on BBC2 tonight, 11.05pm. In case anyone thought there weren't any as it's not on BBC1.

Thanks, PWS.
Raya just saved a penalty and the rebound header. He’s a bit good!

But not the World Number One…

Reminded me of the double save against us where he saved Ollie’s header seemingly into an open net

It was an excellent double save but are we going to ignore the fact that he was well off his line when the pen was taken.
