I'd find it a bit ironic going to the Café des Pyrénées in Switzerland.

I asked a friend who lives in Bern and they said this place is new and close to the station https://mccarthysirishpub.ch/bern/ I also used to go here when I lived in Bern https://www.cafedespyrenees.ch/ it’s on the Kornhaus square which is convenient for trams to the ground

I'm not going so feel free to ignore me completely, but Irish (and English) style pubs are the very last place I'd be headed on a visit to a city I'd never been to before.
Same, I just don’t get it.

£7.80 a pint versus £9.50 in other places is one of the many reasons you may wish to share in the atmosphere and camaraderie of an away game in an Irish pub in Bern.

A half litre of lager at a local boozer is around 8 francs so £6-£7.

Not too bad being as I was charged close to that for a pint the other week over here.

It sounds like we should asking you rather than vice versa.
Yes indeed. So Andy I take it it's tram number 9 from station or many other places to the Wankdorf centre?

Yup, that’s the best one. I goes via Kornhausplatz too and there are plenty of bars and restaurants there. The alternative is to get a train from the station

Also, if you take tram 9 you can stop off at Breitenreinplatz. There are a few places there such as https://barbiere-bern.ch/ontap/ a bit more expensive but a great selection of locally brewed beers. Probably a good place to go post match as well. Let me know where you’re headed!

Cheers. I am arriving at around 14:00 local time and after dumping my bag in the hotel intend to walk around the central area framed by the river. So what's to see there? And can I pay by tapping  my debit card on the Tram?

Was due to fly early this morning from Heathrow after meeting 3 other Bournemouth Lions. Unfortunately got sick after driving back from the Everton game and reluctantly decided I couldn't face the 4 and half hour drive to meet them. Gutted, and my mood not helped by the news of Gary Shaw. Hopefully Villa can do the business tomorrow..

Sounds like Cultural Appropriation.

A question per team.

I got 55%

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c87g7ye3zlqo

I got 75% and a few stupid questions wrong (not the Villa one!)
