Yep. Will be disappointed if we don't get one dead good famous win against one of the two "big" clubs we've drawn, though. Obviously Celtic are a big club and so were Bologna in their day, but I mean big in terms of the sort or teams that usually compete to win the trophy.

Don't Monaco famously have tiny crowds? You'd imagine there would be ways for plenty of Villa fans to get tickets for that if they were so inclined.

They do, but it's only a 16,000 capacity. Not great.

Oh really?? I thought they had a massive stadium. That makes it abit better then

It's a decent enough draw and it's what we've been waiting for and fucking deserve. I can't wait.

For fans who wanted a European adventure it’s pretty poor with very limited ticket availability.

Had a look at the Bayern fans forum to see what they think of the draw.

So we're playing at home to PSG, away to Barcelona, at home to Benfica, away to Shakhtar, home to Dinamo Zagreb, away to Feyenoord, home to Bratislava and away to Aston Villa.

Approximate away allocations based on 5%

Leipzig 2,300
Brugge 1,450
YB 1,600
Monaco 800

Thanks. I think I just realised I’m unlikely to get any, ST who did Lille & Ajax which obviously had much bigger allocations, can anyone guesstimate how many are likely to have done more euro aways to be in higher categories? I fancied Bruges but I guess so would everyone. I wouldn’t go without a Villa ticket.

You should be ok for Leipzig.

My probably wildly inaccurate guess on away ticket numbers would be

6 aways about 400 people
5 aways about 200 people
4 aways about 500 people
3 aways about 500 people
2 aways and 1 away about another 1000-1500

But as i said that's a guess on my part.

There's a cap of 70 Euros for away tickets, I don't think there's a cap for home but I assume we'll be £60-70 for standard adult tickets.

When tickets in the upper north are best part of £70 for Wolves I can easily see another £20-£30 on top of that for Bayern, Juve and probably Celtic.

Just being in this historic draw was unreal.
Home fixtures are amazing!!
Its not even out of reach to get to the 16 team playoffs!

How can anyone Villa even think about theses games and not just go orgasmic!?
The top fixture 24/25 is not Blues. Its not Wolves. Its beating the crap out of Bayern!
And its not a sleeping Friendly!

Cant wait! Schedule on Saturday ?

I think on reflection now the dust has settled its mot a bad draw at all. Could have been much worse. We avoided the big guns [madrid barce PSG]

I do worry about the squad size though.  We have 8 games [2 extra than the conference]  and it could be 10 if we get to play offs.

Looking at away allocations, they do tend to stick to the 5% from what I can see.

"Back in the big time" the woman said which I found a bit patronising. We'd have been it it three other times in my life time if the tournament had been for 2nd-4th place in the 1990s. We will probably seen as cannon fodder or minnows to a lot of those clubs supporters.
