The guy who does the "My Old Man Said" podcast seemed to think that Champions League tickets will be £75.00 a game - if they are, that is too expensive for me.

What is he basing that on?

Have we seen any Prem matchday ticket pricing for next season yet?

I won't be paying that if true, not that Villa will give a fook.

Surely it depends on where you sit?

I will.

And therein lies the problem because once you get people used to paying 60 a ticket for a standard league match, another 15 quid for a Champions League is the sort of number they'll almost all pony up.

I doubt it will be that much, but if say a standard adult Holte ticket is £75 and people are stupid enough to pay it then they'll just keep upping the price.

It's not stupidity to pay it, it's captivity. When you've waited your entire Villa supporting life for this, £75 is comparatively cheap. Not that I'd like to pay that much mind, but I'll be there whatever the cost.

Which is pretty much what has happened for the last 30 years, albeit more gradually on account of so many of those years being grim for us.

I can’t see it being £75 all over the ground. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was but that would be a slap in the face. Financially I could pay it but morally it definitely would be something I’d have to think about.

I assume they'll do a 4 game home package of some description.

It'll be tied to Category A games. How much that is, we'll have to see.

The guy who sat next to me in the Lower Holte who was not a season ticket holder, for the top games last season was paying £62.00 per game.

So based on that £75.00 is not far off what we could expect to pay, for a top European team, rocking up at Villa Park.

I can see CAT A areas easily pushing £100 for the top tier games. Maybe they'll offer a package though which would average prices down for all the group games.
