This one in particular caught my eye as someone with more than two brain cells to rub together...

I reckon that if you try really, really hard, Dale (the author), you’ll eventually invent a solid reason why we’ve actually done better than Aston Villa this season. This is almost as silly as the comment I read yesterday where someone said they didn’t think Villa would do as well as we did in the CL. We came bottom of the group ffs!
