Haha, we have a sofa bed and air mattress in our apartment. If we make it to the final, party at mine, I'm sure my wife won't mind ...
I have a plan for pitching up in the Englischer Garten and using the Eisbach for <cough cough> amenities.

Apparently we might play one match against another English team to avoid deadlocking. Also, the draw is conducted by computer because it would take too long to do manually.

I think we will get out the group stage. Should take about 10-12 points at the most I'd have thought - so a couple of home wins and an away win against some of the pot 3/4 clubs, mixed in with a few draws.

I think there's definitely more of a chance than the randomness of a four team table.

Is it 8 teams, 2 from each pot?
So how do they decide Home and Away?
Is the same country rule still there?

Yes
The draw will presumably incorporate the home/away split across all the pots, could end up being a bit complicated  but the outcome is straightforward enough.
You can't play teams from your own association in the league stage.
Cheers.

I believe you have one home and one away from each pot.

Will it still be possible for some teams who don't make it into the last 16 of the Champions League to move into the Europa Cup, or has that been done away with now?

Teams that lose in the qualifying rounds drop down to the Europa League / Conference League.

Once the proper league phase of the Champions League starts, that's all you get. No second chances after that

Winners of play-off round advance to league phase
Losers of play-off round enter Europa League league phase
Losers of third qualifying round enter Europa League play-off round
Losers of second qualifying round enter Europa League third qualifying round
Losers of the first qualifying round enter Conference League second qualifying round

I would tweak one thing looking at the format - the 9th to 24th should be a one off game.

Those finishing 9th - 16th having home advantage.

Fuck me, I use to take your posts seriously. You get let down in life everyday, mostly from those you trust :'(

See, your murderers come with smiles, they come as your friends, the people who’ve cared for you all of your life. And they always seem to come at a time that you’re most in need of their help.

Erm, we are in the Champions League. I woke up and put the theme music on first thing and my lad came charging down, 'we did it? We did it!'

Bragging rights at school.

Barcelona I get, but the others?
Monaco is an awful place and Celtic would be lots of trouble.

Going from 17th to 4th is a huge achievement.

As is going from the Championship to the Champions League within five years.

Especially with all of the limits & barriers put in place by the status quo & their self interests.

But today, isn't about the issues. It's about the achievement.

I am so proud of them all. And so happy.

Its not a trophy or a title, but its a sign of progression that I though would come with Lerner.

So to go through that decade in the darkness & come out where we are, I think it makes this achievement all the more special.

Congratulations to the owners. Congratulations to the manager. Congratulations to the players. Congratulations to tbe fans. Congratulations to the groundspeople. Congratulations to the backroom staff. Congratulations to the mascot. Congratulations to everybody.

And happy mother-fucking days... 😁
Big congratulations and thanks to the owners who let Emery get on with it

Aston Villa in the Champions League. Going to take a while longer for this to sink in.
