Paris is such a great city. First went there in 2012, stayed 4 nights. Went again in 2013, stayed 5 nights. Then 2015, 6 nights.

Paris Villans will look forward to welcoming you (and relieving you of your wallets, natch).

And FC Nantes have asked that the game goes ahead.

I like Nantes, nice city. And now they've gone up in my estimation.

Think they've won the League 7 times too.

Paris is a wonderful city.

Not the most controversial of opinions, I know, but hey ho.

Haven't been to Paris before, but I've been to France 3 times.

They speak French. Little insider tip for you.

I lived in Paris for 10 years so am gutted to be missing this one. We hold a conference every year in Vietnam so we booked the dates about 9 months ago and booked our flights in January. I’m actually missing both legs as I’ll be away for about 16 days. Tant pis.

I’ve been to the Parc des Princes about 20-25 times for PSG and international games and absolutely love it. They used to have the Boulogne kop ultras (right wing LePen types) there and then a more mixed group at the Auteuil end. They didn’t get on and would occasionally fight each other after games. I’d sometimes take mates over from England and a number of fans would have English club scarves - even saw a Villa scarf once.  A fan died about 15 years ago and the club basically banned the groups for a few years.

My understanding is that the main ultras are now in the Auteuil end but mates tell me they have several fan groups a La Peoples Front  of Judea. Away fans used to be housed in a corner by the Auteuil end but that has probably changed now if their  main ultras are behind that goal.

It may be a good thing I’m not going as I’ve seen England lose to France and Brazil, though we did win “Le Tournois” as well as Celtic lose to PSG ( they had an official section and an overspill section of about 4k each) and Arsenal v Zaragoza (Nayim from the half way line).

It’s a simple journey by metro from central Paris by metro but bars near the ground will be mobbed. But it’s easy to drink in Paris till 2am and there are a number of bars open later.

Haha love it.
Assuming you are serious IMO the greatest city in the world. My tip would be when you get there ditch the Metro (despite Pat McM’s info) and walk every where. It’s like an urban Safari of history and architecture. There is something to see and admire on almost every street corner. On match day take a walk from Arc de triomphe along Avenue Foch toward Bois de Boulogne. Enter the wood and turn left basically carry on till you see the concrete monstrosity. It’s about an hour or so. Eurostar is class. Best of luck and I may run into you both if I see you😊
