In 5 days time will be approaching half time Villa V Bayern Munich!
I hope those who are going can roar on to victory! However I am doubtful can stop them scoring. But think we can score so I forecast goals in first half.
For me they are going to be the best side faced this season

Half-right, it'll be Real Madrid in the final in Munich.

Since the draw, Munich has been all I can think about. It's getting closer, and I'm counting the days. It is a dream that is reality to be in the in the Champions League, and what a treat to play Bayern Munich in the Champions League at Villa Park.

I'm so very excited! Just the occasion is wonderful for our club!
I do know that Emery will make sure we perform and compete.I would argue that our best performance this season was against Arsenal. Our one and only defeat. Our other matches at Villa Park haven't been at our best yet won!

I feel reassured to know El Maestro is capable of us getting something from the game even though I can see a few goals against and could lose.
Really, the fine margins in games like this, as against Arsenal, didn't take the chances, so ultimately lost..

Will we have a Bayern Munich thread going onto this weekend because only having Monday or Tuesday to discuss anything and everysing and read each others posts isn't justice to the actual biggest team faced in Europe since last time played Bayern Munich. And won the European Cup.
It's massive.

Blimey. What do you think happens after you win the European Cup? A clue - you qualify for something. Can you guess what it is?

Just realised Wednesday will be Emery's first match against his predecessor.

Edit: no it won't, it was Middlesbrough last season.

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany said it was "too early" to know the extent of Harry Kane's injury but he was hopeful the forward will be fit for Wednesday's Champions League clash at Aston Villa.

"I don't have the exact information but hopefully it's just a bit of pain and we'll get him back this week," said Kompany.

Speaking after the England captain was subbed off with four minutes left in Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Bayer Leverkusen, Kompany said he hoped Kane would make a swift return.

"Hopefully not," Kompany said when asked if Kane's injury was serious.

"I'm not a doctor and it's much too early. I know something happened, but I hope he's ready for Wednesday."

Kane went down clutching his foot after a collision with Leverkusen's Amine Adli.

The England captain has a history of ankle complaints but has only missed two matches for Bayern with injury since arriving in the summer of 2023.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl said he was unsure about Kane's injury status, but added "when Harry leaves the field means something because he's pretty tough".

"(The incident) doesn't look good, but we hope he's made strong out of good English wood and nothing's broken."

Don't know who replaces him if he is out. Can't see them starting with a 35 year old Thomas Muller.

Wouldn't even be the first time we've faced one of our sponsors.

Do the German media refer to them as S.O.S?

Kane injured ?! This is a sign!
It's now only in  3 days time till the Bayern Munich match.
A thread must be put up later today after Ipswich!(Victory)
Have to do this justice it's massive!
And exciting!
Up The Villa!

Do it now Footy. It’s only 3 days, 19 hours and 47 minutes until kick off. How will the players be up for it without a thread?

Well if they ever go 2 nil down and they all score to win then some headline writer is missing a trick if they don't.
