Agree with a lot of the comments. We seem to be running on empty and luckily, Spurs are struggling too. Rogers going off just sums up our luck with injuries as well. As poor as yesterday was though, it's difficult to be too critical. We just need to get behind them and see them over the line. It's been long old season.

Only just skimmed over this chat, but some of you need to put a bit of context into the last few results....

We've played 53 competitive games, travelling all across Europe in the process, with a threadbare squad. The fact that we're 7 points clear of Spurs, who have played around 15 games LESS than us, is nothing but a minor miracle. I saw that someone had tagged Matty Cash in a rant on Twitter, and then he blocked him. This is NOT what the squad need right now. Without Matty, we wouldn't even be going to Athens on Thursday.

What Unai and that team need right now is our undying support, not criticism or bickering. We're so close. You could see that the team were trying yesterday, there was just nothing left in the tank.

Hopefully a couple of days of rest, then go for broke against Olympiacos on Thursday (*hopefully with Martinez and a fresh Youri Tielemans back) and then we'll see how we go. 4th is safe - No way are Spurs getting anything out of a title chasing Man City side.

UTV
Agree, a bit of perspective needed, it’s been an incredible season against the odds.
The bloke who did that to Cash is a twat.

That Cash tweet looked suspiciously like a bot to me, most of the other tweets were just retweets of completely random stuff. Probably just designed to get clicks.

We won’t win another game this season. Dreadful all over the place.

Course we will.

I can't see it in the league unfortunately.  Europe might be different, as I don't think the opposition will be as strong, but I think that the last few games point to us being pretty much spent and almost completely out of options.

That's not being negative, as I think there are legitimate reasons why we are stumbling a bit at the moment, but I think the last two league games will be tough going with how we are currently playing.

A point today would have been OK as it would have meant an 8 point gap and that Spurs would have had to.beat Manchester City as well as the other two.  I just have a nagging feeling that we've left the door slightly ajar and although I think it's still unlikely, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they could hammer Burnley and Sheff Utd (taking away our superior goal difference) and a point against Man City might then be enough for them if we lose both games.
That's very much a worse case scenario. I can see us picking up at least one point and Spurs will not beat Man City. The semi final is on a knife edge and as I don't see us keeping a clean sheet we may need to score four to go through. That's a really tall order and will hinge on the fitness of Martinez, Tielemans and Rogers. Unai could yet pull a rabbit out of the hat on that one too. Buckle up it's going to be a bumpy road.

I agree about it being a worst case scenario and still think it is still pretty unlikely, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that we could be caught if we lose both remaining games.

Spurs would need a draw with Man City and to hammer both Burnley and Sheff Utd to catch us and overturn the goal difference

Just watched MOTD2. Can't believe that (probably for the first time in my life) I'm in agreement with Danny Murphy; our claim for a penalty was stronger than theirs. Having said that, we did not do enough for get anything from that game and we are looking shattered. Delighted that Olsen played so well, which will boost his confidence. On to Athens. Meanwhile, that Adingra looked some player,

Spurs don't really need to absolutely hammer anybody if we lose both our remaining games. Say we lose 3-0 to Liverpool and 1-0 to Palace, then 1-1 with Man City, 3-0 v Sheffield United and 2-0 v Burnley would do them. They'd have the same goal diffeerence but would have scored more goals.

And thats why i felt it was so vital we got a point yesterday.  It could cost us dearly. Saying that spurs still need to do all of that whoch will be incredibly hard when they low on confidence

I thought Unai's Sky interview was really sensible.  No excuses at all and just plain and simple explanation as to what happened.  This guy is brilliant.  I hope we are able to bring in the players he wants in the summer.  Top class man, top class Coach.

There are clubs that have had more injuries than us but when you are playing in Europe the fit players have no respite. Newcastle and West Ham have struggled to cope with the added games, I would rather finish fourth simply because it will be a big plus for attracting better players.

Can anyone really see Man C not winning at Spurs and effectively giving up the title to Arsenal?

You think Spurs *players* would rather not qualify for the Champions League so that Arsenal don't win the title? Bizarre.

Spurs have beaten Man City at home in the league for the last 4 years.

I can’t see that either Richard. I think we’re ok.

I just really want one more great league performance. It would be great for the home or travelling fans and for the team, boss and coaching staff.

I suppose we may still get that in the final after the league has finished.

Spurs are however hopelessly out of steam and luck very much like how our end of season form is. Man City are in very good form and generally finish the season well.
