Think SJM needs another sesh in Dublin, by the looks of it.

£10 pints to soothe the soul.

Or maybe he's just come back off one.

I hope, whichever it is, that our SjM is in full captain mode on Thursday and I note his goal was disallowed, today, which hopefully will spur him on to victory!!!!

BBC News at Ten, sports section - "Spurs chances of top 4 are more or less over after defeat at Liverpool " .
Wankers . Why not have a headline of "Aston Villa are more or less guaranteed champions league football for the first time in 41 years "

Because we still have to get a couple of points and we don’t have a manager who calls everybody, ‘Mate’.

Bright side:

Could be an opportunity for Richard Parker; ‘Maaaate!’
Geographical association for SUE.  Unfortunately, not until next season.
Politics, huh.
Aston Villa lost at Brighton. That's all they said about us. It's a BBC Spurs thing though they are intertwined.

I agree my silly comment about physical fitness earlier was crap.

But mental tiredness? Really?

I think we’ve had a brilliant exciting season so far. The best in many years. It’s fantastic!

It is!
We’ve just got to get through the next 3 or 4 matches.

I’m hoping that Unai’s elite team can provide the ice packs, strapping, appropriate menu, positive thinking and targeted training that our lads really need, to navigate the final PL fixtures and take them through into the Europa Conference 🏆 Final. UTV!

We won’t win another game this season. Dreadful all over the place.

Course we will.

I can't see it in the league unfortunately.  Europe might be different, as I don't think the opposition will be as strong, but I think that the last few games point to us being pretty much spent and almost completely out of options.

That's not being negative, as I think there are legitimate reasons why we are stumbling a bit at the moment, but I think the last two league games will be tough going with how we are currently playing.

A point today would have been OK as it would have meant an 8 point gap and that Spurs would have had to.beat Manchester City as well as the other two.  I just have a nagging feeling that we've left the door slightly ajar and although I think it's still unlikely, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they could hammer Burnley and Sheff Utd (taking away our superior goal difference) and a point against Man City might then be enough for them if we lose both games.

The malaise is across the team, Cash when he came on was the only outfielder that seemed up for it. Diabe and Bailey gave us nothing, Bailey is obviously carrying an injury. That was a relegation performance from a side that has performed brilliantly for most of the season. Who else to bring in? think Tim will be sold in the summer, we really are scraping the barrel.

That's very much a worse case scenario. I can see us picking up at least one point and Spurs will not beat Man City. The semi final is on a knife edge and as I don't see us keeping a clean sheet we may need to score four to go through. That's a really tall order and will hinge on the fitness of Martinez, Tielemans and Rogers. Unai could yet pull a rabbit out of the hat on that one too. Buckle up it's going to be a bumpy road.

When things go wrong and will not come right,
Though you do the best you can,
When life looks black as the hour of night –
A pint of plain is your only man.

When money’s tight and hard to get
And your horse has also ran,
When all you have is a heap of debt –
A pint of plain is your only man.

When health is bad and your heart feels strange,
And your face is pale and wan,
When doctors say you need a change,
A pint of plain is your only man.

When food is scarce and your larder bare
And no rashers grease your pan,
When hunger grows as your meals are rare –
A pint of plain is your only man.

In time of trouble and lousey strife,
You have still got a darlint plan
You still can turn to a brighter life –
A pint of plain is your only man.

I think opposition coaches had worked us out. Doing something about it was a different matter when we were operating at full bore. Now our performance levels have dropped through tiredness or whatever we are more vulnerable.

Its not even that as its hard for any team whwn we play well. The problem is when we play bad we play really bad. Fatigue and not enough use of soem of the youngsters ans fringe players is whats costing us

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve said that over the years.

Only just skimmed over this chat, but some of you need to put a bit of context into the last few results....

We've played 53 competitive games, travelling all across Europe in the process, with a threadbare squad. The fact that we're 7 points clear of Spurs, who have played around 15 games LESS than us, is nothing but a minor miracle. I saw that someone had tagged Matty Cash in a rant on Twitter, and then he blocked him. This is NOT what the squad need right now. Without Matty, we wouldn't even be going to Athens on Thursday.

What Unai and that team need right now is our undying support, not criticism or bickering. We're so close. You could see that the team were trying yesterday, there was just nothing left in the tank.

Hopefully a couple of days of rest, then go for broke against Olympiacos on Thursday (*hopefully with Martinez and a fresh Youri Tielemans back) and then we'll see how we go. 4th is safe - No way are Spurs getting anything out of a title chasing Man City side.

UTV
