A real shame after such a herculean effort this season that we're now barely crawling to the finish line.  Losing on Thursday and pretty clear today that's knocked the stuffing out of Emery and the players.  Wouldn't bet on us scoring another point this season

It's not clear, it's one poor performance. Stop being so weak.

It's five in the space of a month.

Its not 5 performances like that at all. Today was as bad as anything we've seen all season. It doesn't mean it's over. I absolutely loathe us losing and loathe the lower mentality from some too.

I would say it's five performances that, for me, were all candidates for 'worst of the season'. Which is funny, because buried in there was also at least our second best display of the season. Just mad stuff really.

The trouble is as well is that the only bright spots in the poorer performances are getting injured which seems to leave the players who aren't doing it for us still having to try to play. Tielemans performance (in the role that Luiz can't play at) was a big reason we got the last two wins. Rogers has been very good attacking the last few games as well. Both are out. Even Emi (although Olsen did nothing wrong today and deserved MOTM) being missing loses any hope of getting further in the Europa. So I also now can't see any more points this season unless several players get fit and others realise there is only a few matches left.

As soon as I saw Cash coming on I had him and Gross to get booked and Brighton to win 1-0. A ridiculous 137/1 winner.

Too easy!

Roberto De Zerbi: "To be honest, this was not Villa today. I can understand it because they are competing in the Conference League and have a lot of injuries.

"And because of that, they couldn't be the Aston Villa of usual."

Forgive me if this has previously been posted.

It doesn't really raise one's hopes for Thursday, does it.

We are so utterly mentally dead now, and the injuries are just getting ridiculous.

We need Spurs to continue to look abject against Liverpool today, and against Man City, because I don't think we can expect to be picking up many points in our remaining two league games.

I fear the same. I am hoping and that’s all it is we have massive effort left in us to get to the final and overturn this deficit. I just think we will fall short.

The difference between the good and the everybody else, isn't set backs or adversity, but how quickly you respond. What better way is there than to get to a European final.

We'll need a couple of players back to help.

I’m hoping there’s an element of being flat for this one today and they’ll have a massive effort in them on Thursday. Rogers loss is big, we need Tielemans back, but was just have to show so much more than we did today.

Seems the opposition managers can see what some of our own fans can't. Spurs heading for their 4th defeat in a row, it's almost all over anyway.

We were flat and knackered.  Not helped by Diaby wandering aimlessly around the pitch.  If Bailey doesn't have a good game, we seem to falter with Ollie doing more work outside the box than he should be doing.  Penalty was as soft as I have seen all season.  Olsen had a good game.  Other than Diaby, no-one had a bad game, the end of the season can't come soon enough.

Konsa and McGinn had abysmal games.
