You might want to read the room. Everyone is pointing out with hard data that you’re quite misguided. That’s the flashing in front of you bit you need to latch on to. You’re clearly working very hard to justify your argument and position with little except misery and emotion.

That wasnt the original point i made spmeone else mentioned the 72 game stat not me.

The reason the 73 game stat is important is that it proves that losing when being 2-0 up doesn’t happen frequently, thus proving the basis of your argument completely and utterly flawed.

Ollie seems like a sensible lad, I’d like to think if presented with the facts like you have been, he wouldn’t keep persisting with the same flawed argument.

The thing is rambo if this happening at the beginning of unais reign then i would agree with you. Bit its happening more recently which for me is more worrying.

We went down and lost against united after being two up, then yesterday.  We collapsed vs spurs and almsot did what happened yesterday vs forest but luckily we scored a 4th to kill forest off.

More disappointed with the result against inferior opposition, although Tottenham would think the same, overall Tottenham  think they should be in the champions League because they are Tottenham, with the squad of players Emery inherited and the injuries we have had this season I am happy, we are on a journey and that journey is full steam ahead, especially next season

Looking back on yesterdays game is very disappointing. We played at snails pace . Watching todays games Spurs and Yanited both worked the ball about the pitch with pace . Our defending in that 9 minute period was also comical. Emery has work to do as we are stuttering over the line rather than finishing with a burst .

It ended 2-3 and yesterday was - the fact that we had enough time to get a goal back and could even have won it in the end - horribly reminiscent of that...

This from last year on here, Final Four and Finishing Place Predictions. Not awash with optimism. And don't forget that run-in of 2020. And the lung-busting efforts of the season before to get us into that position.
That's 3 times in 5 seasons we, Aston Villa, have done it when it matters. We're going to make it 4 in 6.

I don't have a problem with how we played in the first half. Play at walking pace, control possession, score a goal, concede no chances? That'll do nicely.  It's the second half I have issue with, I don't quite know why we tend to concede goals in bursts like we do.

The issue is Brentford weren't being worked enough. They had bags of energy to have that 10 minute burst themselves. We really should have gone at it rather than walking football mode.
