Unless he's one we've identified to buy and loan out I very much doubt we are buying another centre mid. A 10 and a right sided defender that can play centre half too are the gaps. A genuine drop the ball in and it sticks 10 that can play a final ball, allowing Rogers to come from the left where McGinn was and we'd have been flying today.

Rogers was great where he was, why change it? I'd be keeping him there. I agree on a forward and a defender on the right would be ideal.

This team isnt scoring as many goals as last season thats for sure on what ive seen so far. In two games we have missed so many chances already.

I really wish we didnt have to sell dougie =[

We've scored the same number of goals as we did in the 2 corresponding fixtures.

Im basing this on what ive seen so far. We have missed so many guilt end chances already in two games. Missed i think 3-4 last week and 3 yesterday. Last season those chances go in. Even in pre season i was thinking we are not scoring enough here.

Its early days it could change but thats a massive worry for me. Just dont see the current midfield scoring as many as diaby and luiz got for us. Only two i see capable of getting those goals is rogers ans bailey. I feel we definitely need another attacking player of the bailey mould

I wouldn’t worry about goal scoring. We’re creating chances and we’ll get sharper. It’s the defensive side we need to tighten up on, even with the incredible success of last season we conceded too many. We need to pick up more clean sheets to give us some “easy” wins.

I think Right Back is still a problem.
Whilst Onana is strong and gets through a lot of work , we still miss Kamara.

Agree Paul, with Cash seemingly injured again, been a regular occurrence last few months unfortunately and Ned a little raw still you can see Konsa back at right back and Carlos back in alongside Torres soon.  We need another centre half before the window closes

Because he'd be even more effective there in my opinion. His brilliance comes from surfing runs from deep, which means he has to drop out of that 10 space to make them. I genuinely think in our box style midfield, had we got a number 10 that can put their foot on and find the right final ball, he'd be devastating in that left side role where McGinn is. If he's going to stay at 10, he needs to work very hard this season on end product.

Qualifying again this year looks even more difficult than last year.

Its the goal of course but i think a top 7 finish is more realistic with this current squad

I often wonder why you bother getting up in the morning Demitri.  Can’t you just be a little positive for once in your life?

Defensively i think 3 in 2 is not too bad when you consider the opponents we played. There are areas in which we need to improve in that area though that i do agree with paul.

Offensively i hope so but its not been great. We have missed a lot of sitters in these last two games. Last week thankfully didnt cost us but it did yesterday.

I do think we need one more attacking player a diaby type. Think we are lacking there. If bailey gets injured i think we look short on options. A big ask for JPB to fill in there

Yep but in a practical sense if you’re not keeping clean sheets you’re needing to score at least 2 goals to win games, and probably fairly often 3 goals. That is incredibly hard to do week in and week out.

What about swapping McGinn for him - or at least get them to interchange.  McGinn is good at keeping the ball can shoot from distance etc

Doug wouldn't have got in ahead of Yuri or Onana based on his post-Jan form. We lost because we had 4 great chances in the game and didn't take any. They had 1, scored it, were gifted another by Emi. Scored by somebody who should have been off the pitch for his in game conduct. And perhaps out the sport for other reasons.
Totally.
