Gomez is rubbish, isn't he?
I have never been impressed, average at best.

Felix confirmed at Chelsea.

If any players we've been linked with wants to go to Chelsea then I feel like we've dodged a bullet.

I rate Sterling more than most but there’s no way we should be taking on his wages.

Even more important, there’s no way we should be helping Chelsea out like that. It’s those sorts of signings that will be the hand-break that holds them back.

Mention of Juve above there in relation to Sterling. They've left Chiesa out of the squad at the weekend. I think I'd rather have him, let them have Sterling.

It’s interesting to see also mentioned by Jacobs that Villa will be very busy in the final days of the window.
Regards Chiesa or Sterling either would be champions league ready players and think once player moves will start a chain of events which can expect Villa to be involved with as activity is expected

I think Dendocker, Carlos and the Juventus exchange players could be sold or loaned out so could see three or four come in but at least 2 more in who are champions league ready players.

That’s a great point. And sure, the main issue with Sterling to me is the wages, not his so-called attitude, and his ability is not in question. Signing him permanently would be an issue on the squad cost ratio, so a season loan would be best suited.

Not even on loan.  Why slow the progress of our younger players to hand a life line to that massively over rated twunt?

Felix said it was nice to recognise a few faces at Chelsea , well obviously there is about 150 of them.

No interest in helping out Chelsea.

We already have by buying Maatsen.

Let's not bother signing anyone, then, just pick the kids. Perhaps we might get five or six points this season if we're lucky.

At the moment we only have two wingers. If anything happens to Bailey we are woefully short. Sterling on loan would be pretty much zero risk.

Couldn't give a fuck about Chelsea, but if Sterling was anywhere near his best and we could get him on loan, we'd be helping ourselves.

A fair point, but it’s a pretty big ‘if’ for me, mate.
I don’t think he’s been anywhere near his best for two, maybe even three, seasons and IMO I do think he plays for himself a lot, so not really a team player. We witnessed this many times when him and Grealish were on the pitch together for England, he’d run down a dead end and lose the ball rather than pass to him

Apparently Sterling was told after training on Friday to find a new club. Seems a little harsh how they've gone about it, but at the same time I'm not sure what you'd expect with the set up they have and the constant rotation of managers.

Sterling on loan with a get out clause which means that at a minutes notice we can pick him up by the scruff of the neck and chuck him in the back of a taxi back to London if he starts acting like a right cock, strutting around like he owns the place.

Raheem Sterling? The player whose best position is on the left? If we were bringing in a forward wouldn’t we be looking at a right sided one?

Fuck no to Sterling, he's a prick.

Gomez is average, definitely not a £40m player.

I thought Felix would be a quality, next level signing for us, so disappointed in that one not coming off.
