Would not want Sterling if he was on a free transfer and played for no wages.
Overated and over hyped - his true colours shown by throwing toys out at weekend "His people" my God the arrogance.

SUE relies on a family environment - not one with mercenaries in it.

Fuck off to Saudi with all the other has beens, and Diaby of course

Not even on loan.  Why slow the progress of our younger players to hand a life line to that massively over rated twunt?

Let's not bother signing anyone, then, just pick the kids. Perhaps we might get five or six points this season if we're lucky.

At the moment we only have two wingers. If anything happens to Bailey we are woefully short. Sterling on loan would be pretty much zero risk.

Two?

For the wide midfield positions we have Ramsey, Rogers, Iling-Junior, Bailey, Philogene & Buendia.

Agreed. Sterling is an overrated knobhead.

Excellent analysis there. Couldn't have put it better myself.

'Mercenary', of course. While when Lucas Digne turns down Galatasaray or what have you he's just a good pro entitled to look out for himself. Naturally.

Not that I want Sterling mind, that 'statement' business made me cringe my boots off.

I'm not helping them have crisp shirts.

Sterling would be a great signing. We need someone who can play a right-sided inside forward role and score at the back post. Essentially what he’s done for the majority of his career (albeit from the left).

I’d back him to score 10+ in the Prem for us, and he’s known to be a leader in the dressing room and would surely be a good figure to have around the likes of Ramsey/Rogers/Philogene.

He can play false 9 too which we may need at times.

I’d have some concerns over the investment, his wages are so silly that you’d be looking at £20m just on that for a loan for a year but if he has no other option - to get someone with CL experience who is a guaranteed goal scorer in the Premier League who can play quite a specific role would be ideal, IMO.

Sterling. It's a no from me. His form has been sliding since peak of Euro 2021.

He is on far too much money and as per Sunday acts like a div when he doesn't get his own way

I'm not sure he'd lower himself to our level anyway. He's probably expecting Yanited to come in for him.

Excellent post and only thing I disagree with I  would say in on our team he would score close to 20+ prem goals !

So you prefer bigger sized Lukaku for physicality sake ?
