Got to think he's perfect for Saudi.

Hopefully an extra few quid for Villa too.

Absolutely no sign of Diego Carlos in the latest photos from training.  I presume he's not injured?  Must be off.  Lino Sousa off to Bristol Rovers, unlikely to break the bank.

Yeah he isnt injured and was left out of the friendlies so you would think he is off. I think bogarde will take his spot in the squad until a replacement is signed if carlos is moved on

Has he been seen since he was sent off in the US?

No he hasnt been on the bench at all. It does appear he is off.

Ok so catching up Fulham had a bid rejected for Diego Carlos ??
What sort of fee was rejected?
Carlos is 31 but older than any of the central defenders that have been moving to Prem Club this summer what's his value ?
What fee can expect?

If look at central defenders that moved to the Premier league Clubs then Carlos Club must valued at around 30-40m.
Due to experience and that he just been playing for a top 4 club and other transfer fees I think that is how hes valued.
I think maybe Fulham only offered £20m
It's also a step down for him to go to Fulham so can see a reluctance

Lenny Yoro 52m
Matthijs de Ligt 42m
Riccardo Calafiori 42m
Max Kilman 40m
Taylor Harwood Belis 20m
Jake O'Brien 17m
Jacob Greaves 15m
Dean Huijsen 12m
Nikola Milenkovic 12m
Ronnie Edwards 6m

Well only if replacements come in. If they left and weren’t replaced we would be very light.

Yes fully agree - I thought that was implied.

Geertruida and Felix or another forward would be great business assuming they leave.

I’ve never seen Geertruida play…what is he like? Hoping he’s a big and quick defender

Superb.it would be a awesome signing

Btw could we have made a move for any of these central defenders that have moved to Prem clubs ?
Jean-Clair Todibo loan
Lloyd Kelly free
Tosin Adarabioyo free
Joel Matip available on a free

Also Outside of Prem Centre back of Spain national team winning defender Robin Le Normand 34m moved in la liga. That would have been a great signing.

Take your tin hat off mate. The rules may well change but they’ll be voted on by the 20 clubs. They’ll benefit Chelsea if their interests align with the majority, that’s it.

Yep, you only have to look at the PSR rules changes we wanted to push through. It would have benefitted at least half the clubs including Everton and Forest, yet they all voted against it apart from Citeh and one other. A specific rule change for one club definitely wouldn't get through. The decision then would be is the item (for example the hotel sale) already covered in the rules one way or the other. If not then another rule change is needed, hence the one to stop sales of assets between companies with links to the owners. I'm not sure but I think it went through but we voted against it

No, the motion to stop that kind of deal got voted down. 11-9 I think.

At the risk of angering percy, he's the exact player that you would want at right-back in the way we played last season when Konsa was at right-back.

The sort of solidity that a CB/RB gives you, but just a bit more natural ability on the ball.

Part of my ire stems from the fact that Konsa and Pau aren’t a very solid partnership. I’d try the potential new guy at CB, where he’s played 100 games.

The other part stems from the fact that Konsa is better than Cash at RB.

Does Konsa want to play right back though? Emery promised Konsa that he would play more at centre back the second half of the season when he brought KKH back.

I really very much don't think for one second he did considering KKH didn't play at all.

I hope it wasn't a pinky promise. Nahhh, Emery's never breaking a pinky promise.

Article in The Times today suggesting Napoli offering Osimhen as part of deal for Lukaku.  I guess if they bite they will lose their interest in Felix?

Chelsea have got a squad of 45 players, including 6 goalkeepers & 14 forwards. They've paid well over the odds on many of those players giving them long term contracts. Palmer is one of the few who's value hasn't dropped.

They'll have lost income from being outside the Champions League for the past 2 seasons. They're on their 4th manager in 4 years. They paid £22m to appoint Potter, sacked him after 6 months & are still paying him. They spent £290m in one window alone.

The sale of hotels worth £76m to boost their income has yet to be approved by the Premier League as being a fair market value.

I can't see how any of this is sustainable & they want to add Felix to the pot.

Do they want him?

There was talk that Atletico wanted him to go there to help them sign Gallagher, but the fact this didn't happen and Gallagher is still at Chelsea suggests that Chelsea weren't okay with the them-signing-Felix part of the deal.

And this is what makes no sense to me. They havent had CL for a few years now, no shirt sponsorship either and a small stadium.

They cant keep up this level of spending surely. If they miss out on CL again how can they survive FFP with that wage bill?

They've brought in £300m in the last three years from the sales of academy players. For as long as they are able to do that, they'll be able to keep spending what they want.

But havent they spent like treble that and then that's not even looking at their wage bill?

I heard y-day they are around £60m down but if they sell the players that are currently training in their own then they may well be in credit.
