Reports that we've bid €18 million for RCF's favourite, Semih Kilicsoy.

Rudy has me pumped for this so if he fails it is all his fault.

Rudy can't fail.

Man Utd have opened talks with the representatives of defender Mario Hermoso, who is available on a free transfer after his contract with Atletico Madrid expired. (Maximo de la Cruz Ramirez)

scrub him off  maybe

I'm certainly not going to fail on news from 6 weeks ago.

If we had wanted him, we would have been in for him a good while ago. He's been without a contract for 5 weeks.

Unless it was recycled, there was another report about it last night.

If we do sign Lutsharel we are in danger of reentering MON style right backs collection.

Difference being Emery will actually play our collection of RBs at RB, versus a CB or CM there with RBs on the bench.

Ummm, apart from when he played Konsa there and kept Cash on the bench for a fair bit of last season!

Exactly. So much so that it got him into the national team. Hardly the same as playing Carlos Cuellar or Reo-Coker there with Luke Young on the bench.

I didn't say it didn't. Just reacting to a post that was plainly factually incorrect!

Jesting aside, I think that, if you argue that Konsa at rightback worked, then what you're saying (or what I'm saying) is that he is now, effectively, a rightback as well as a centreback. Cuellar was definitely a centreback on the right, which worked....less well.

Though MON did have a decent record on these repositionings, turning Barry and later Milner into central midfielders.
