Joao Felix goal tonight

Decent that, not sure ollie would have finished it with the same aplomb.

you can't train with us but you get a game tonight!!

An attempt to kiss and make up going on with Madrid. Simione has obviously been told by the board to swallow his pride. Felix went back, played it humble, kept his head down and now the fans love him.

I don’t think that can last. Simeone is so powerful at the club. He will win that long term over the board.

Not a chance. I can think of fifty plus million reasons why. It'll be a bitter pill to swallow should they sell.

The Atletico fans aren’t best pleased with Felix by the looks of this. Probably for his open love for Barca.

Yet they were applauding him in training the other day. Madrid are trying to spin him back into the fold.

EDIT: It seems not all fans were happy to see him back.

You would have thought they would have been eager to do that over the past few seasons instead of loaning him out.

Push has come to shove and the thought of losing €50m+ plus wages based largely on a coach and player is not for everybody. Madrid are desperately trying to salvage things but I imagine it will be too little too late - if there's a buyer. No buyer, they have to integrate him back into the team. Right now there's no buyer, just a couple of clubs that want him on loan and one that could be interested but hasn't put a bid in.

The sooner Felix realises Barca don't have the money to buy him and Madrid won't loan him, the sooner this will get resolved.

Even with Martinez, Konsa and Watkins to come back in the squad depth at CB and strikers looks weak. Surely a new CB and striker will be signed soon? Worrying with the Champions League looming......

Striker we are fine if Duran, as Emery said, stays put. Emery isn't a bomb squad type and will get Duran back to being a functional player with us.

We have to get a centre half though. And fast.

Julian Alvarez has been linked with Atletico Madrid, could that pave the way for us getting Felix?
We should get Emi to have a word and sign Alvarez instead, who I think Man City would be mad to let go but perhaps he wants more game time.

He’d fit the “2 for 1” options whereby he can play as a ten or a striker.  I’ve no  idea whether he is actually any good though, as most strikers would look excellent for Argentina and Man City.  Definitely takes a mean free kick though.

I think he was 2 time SA player of the year as well, but I suppose playing for one of the biggest clubs on the continent reinforces your point. He’s certainly a team player so Unai would love him.
