Felix trained alone today (as he wasn't involved yesterday) before being picked up (in one of those people carriers with blacked out windows) with a suitcase and reportedly driven to the airport.

Probably to take part in his planespotting hobby. The suitcase contained his weak lemon drink.

Possibly.

Love it, I haven't heard weak lemon drink in years....

After 14 1/2 hours I have just worked out Ozzjim's reference to cat food.

Linked with Kalvin Phillips by the clickbait brigade.  Loan deal.

Really hope Felix isn't our marquee signing this summer. We have far bigger priorities .

If he signs he will be the “marquee” signing.

Of course he will. Anyone saying otherwise is being a silly billy.

Konsa needs to play in the middle , he simply isn't a RB. Mings cannot come back soon enough .

He played brilliantly there for England against Vini Jr and Doku, and numerous times for Villa last season.

He’s got a great partnership with Mings, that’s evident. As is the fact that without Mings, our best defence is Konsa/Carlos/Pau with an attacking left-back.

Carlos is average verging on rubbish and needs moving on (yes but Haaland/Arsenal). Konsa terrible at right back, it's where the ball goes to die when he plays there. Carlos/Torres as a partnership, milk can turn quicker. We need a fully fit Mings back, proper competition at centre back.

I do wonder if any truth though as do need some further experience and depth. It could be a case of Onana, Barkley and Phillips to replace Douglas Luiz!
At the end of day Philips has champions league experience and international experience.

As you can see, I was talking about in the absence of Mings. Which is what we were last season.

And to paraphrase your oft-used catchphrase on the subject, it’s usually where the ball goes to die for the team that’s attacking down that side when Konsa plays there.

Thankfully, we have a bloke who knows this picking the team.

I'm currently watching 'The Mystery Felix: Where has he gone?' - nobody seems to know where he's gone since getting into that people carrier with his suitcase.

Konsa, when selected RB, got moved out of it plenty of times last season. Not just for his inability on the ball, defensively I thought he was often average there, kept getting dragged too close to our CBs. The way our defence finished last season, it needs to improve a lot.

West Ham fans are saying the deal is done £36m plus add-on.

If they are right, I am happy with that take the money and move on.

Víctor Polo
@VictorAbajasJoao

Joao Félix is going to Aston Villa FC for €60M. Let us remember that Atlético de Madrid in 2019 cost a total of 126M€ but "Cholo" committed himself to giving no minutes and wasting his supposed potential. For me, he is one of the greatest broken toys of the last decade.

It sounds like Victor Polo's going to be really annoyed if he does well at Villa.
