I never really see what others in Guendouzi. Perhaps I’m missing something, but he’s never struck me as particularly remarkable.

I'm more interested in players out this season, which is mental, but that's what FFP (and a strong squad) does to you.

Who's left to ship to leave us in the healthiest FFP position possible?

Chambers
Dendoncker
One of Digne or Moreno
Carlos
Duran
Kesler-Hayden
Coutinho still here?

If we could get most of them out for a decent fee we'd be well set and have a decent buffer for next summer, with only Duran and Carlos needing replacing.

There's an extensive article about FFP/transfer window shenanigans in The Athletic.

This paragraph is interesting/informative and gives a hint about how we've handled the whole affair - with foresight and long term planning?

Up until February of this year, Aston Villa’s financial year-end was May 31, but they moved that to June 30. It’s their right to do that, but this year they will run a 13-month accounting period up until June 30. They might say they’re bringing it in line with most other clubs or the end of the season, but this gives them that extra month to do the deals we’re seeing now to ensure they’re compliant.

I’d very much like a new right back. We don’t seem to be linked with anyone, unless I’m missing something?

We've been linked with Michael Kayode and Yan Couto.

Thanks. I’m not familiar with either of them but hopefully this means our ‘war chest’ is at the ready.

Didn’t the Premier League introduce a rule about having EOY in
June / July?

I never really see what others in Guendouzi. Perhaps I’m missing something, but he’s never struck me as particularly remarkable.

He reminds me of a more physical & energetic Douglas Luiz, before Emery got hold of him.

I think that if he came under the wings of Emery, he could be better than Douglas Luiz, because he has all the passing & ball skill attributes that Douglas Luiz has, but he is a lot taller, more physical, a bit pacier.

At the moment, he is what I thought Douglas Luiz was before Emery got hold of him.

A Jack of all trades & master of fuck all.

But we all saw (except one), what Emery did for Douglas Luiz game & he became one of the best midfielders in the world.

I would love to see what Emery could do with Guendouzi...

Having watched quite a few Marseille games, Guendouzi is one to definitely avoid.

We really should sign Guendouzi.

I don't mean to be rude mate, but after having several conversations with you regarding midfielders, I will trust my own judgement on this one...

I doubt he's on the radar anyway. Just another player we get linked with every window under Emery.
