Levy obviously thinks we're in a similar state to how we were when he offered £2m and half a packet of chewing gum for Grealish 6 years ago. Well you were a twat and were told to fuck off then, and since then we've managed to acquire better, richer owners; a better manager; better players and we've finished above them two years running. We're willing to deal with clubs to 'help' both sides deal with PSR, but to quote Roy Hodgson, "don't take the piss son".

I absolutely agree with the sentiment but he actually fucked about so long that NSWE were already in by the time he made that offer (a few days before the deadline), which made it all the more fucking stupid.

This is never mentioned about this negotiating mastermind who could have had Grealish for less than 20 million

True. Suspect there are lots of other examples as well given he notoriously does business late. Having said that, I doubt Grealish becomes £100m player at Spurs.

Feels so good to have overtaken Spurs again in the pecking order, thanks in part to Levy and his penny pinching. Their very own HDE.

Levy clearly took advantage of Everton’s position to sign Richardson knowing they must sell.  Even when he’s got his way its turned out to be shit business.

Some reports that we've bid £30m for Man City's Yan Couto who was on loan to Girona last season. He's a 22 year-old who's with the Brazil squad in the Copa America.

Getting the strangest sense of déjà-vu....

Apparently, Beni McCarthy is leaving his current coaching post at the Manchester reds. Rumours are that we hold a strong interest in bringing him in this transfer window.

Karma.

According to a report by Marco Guidi of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus deem Weston McKennie surplus to their project next season and have decided to consider him redundant. The club have informed him of their judgment recently and the American is searching for newer pastures.

That means we can get him for nothing...

I imagine Spuds could have had Grealish for less than £20m as we were desperate for cash to pay the tax bills, etc. The initial offer was ridiculously low and Levy seemed to adopt a 'wait and see' policy, thinking we would be so trapped as the payment deadlines approached that we would accept any offer from them.

As Risso said, as soon as the new owners came in, they made it a priority to sort JG's contract out.

🟣🔵 After Enzo Barrenechea, Samuel Iling Jr has also completed all medical tests as new Aston Villa player.

It’s all approved for Maatsen (contract already signed), Iling Jr and Barrenechea to join Villa — confirmed.

I’m assuming they are going to try to find someone to buy him, rather than offer him a redundancy package.
