Spurs have offered 20 plus Lo Celso for JJ. Typical Levy, a day late and 25m dollars short.

What a little scamp Levy is - straight out of the Doug Ellis play book.

1. Get Spurs mentioned (as no one has yet this window)
2. Offer a ridiculously low sum for a very good player
3. Get turned down but quote it shows their ambition
4. Move onto the next one

£20mil + lo Celso - did he only want one of Ramsey's legs?

Presuming his injured one at that.

We're always being linked with him because Emery had Lo Celso at Villarreal. I don't know whether he's often taken players he's worked with before at previous clubs, but it's taken a special talent in Pau Torres for him to do that with us. He had Diaby at PSG too but he was coming through their academy when he was managing the senior side.

The Ramsey bid from Spurs was made many weeks ago and was turned down immediately.

I had assumed that, but where’s that been confirmed?

Some reports that we've bid £30m for Man City's Yan Couto who was on loan to Girona last season. He's a 22 year-old who's with the Brazil squad in the Copa America.

I mentioned him as someone we should look at a while back, probably early in this thread, he's quick, brilliant with the ball at his feet and very good at finding a pass/cross. He might be a bit light-weight for the premier league though so we'd have to keep an eye on him being targeted with long balls.

I’d definitely prefer the Fiorentina fella. Strong as an ox.

2nd best attacking RB in La Liga behind Cancelo, but no where to be found on the defensive rankings.. https://laligaexpert.com/2023/11/22/best-la-liga-right-backs/

He flies up the pitch, for sure, but looks to be 4 inches shorter than Moreno?

Different player I think.. This is the one I’m on about, doesn’t look smaller than Moreno.

Yan Couto, who he was talking about is 5ft 6

Michael Kayode who you were, is 5ft 10

Yes, that’s more like it.

At those heights they're likely to wander off down yellow brick roads.

I hope we emailed Levy back with a serious answer to a serious proposal.
