Duran replacement?

Think Germany have finally replaced Bierhoff up front.

They were gutted when they found out Mark Stein wasn't German.

It would rank as one of the most stupid transfers ever.
We don’t do stupid.

Beier looks like a very good prospect and this would be yet another youngster with bags of potential coming into the squad. We'd be very close to being able to field a U23 team that would be competitive in the league, which is setting us up to not only be a good team in the next couple of years but to safeguard our place near the top of the table for a long time to come.

And he's been on a particularly good run lately.

Thanks as that was interesting to watch, although another one who can't spell Rogers  :)

Reminded me a bit of Thomas Frank's tactics board.

🚨💣 Aston Villa have concrete interest in Maximilian Beier!
@Plettigoal
 #avfc

That would be incredible.

Another of the worlds best young prospects.

6'1", pacy, good on the ball, a creator, versatile, good finisher with feet & head, etc.

Would be a huge improvement on Duran ability wise, potential wise & mentality wise.

And it would be amusing as fuck to watch Chelsea move away from Duran, we sign Beier & Duran is then forced to sign for a club like West Ham.

From a childish & spiteful perspective anyway...

Well done Monchi - worth every penny we pay him. If the only player of note we lose is Luis then the man is a genius.

Now let the "proper" spending begin.

Is this actually legit as i can't see it reported on his twitter or on the athletic?

Never heard of him before, but Beier looks a very complementary striker to have - would be good signing. As much as Duran is Xfactor value, not sure he fits well into a disciplined dressing room nowadays.

Whatever Duran was like as a team mate, his seemingly trying to manufacture a move while we were still playing can't have gone down well. He'll look a bit of a twat too if he's done himself out of the deal. Maybe he won't care, but I can't see him hanging round, wherever he ends up.

These people say we have submitted a 15m EURO bid for Kayode;

https://football-italia.net/kayode-aston-villa-offer-fiorentina/

They value him at 20m EUROs.

Bring him in! Sounds perfect and could be the signing of the summer. At €20m he'd be a steal.
