Brais Mendez from Real Sociedad being linked today . 27 year old midfielder. Surely we don't need any more midfielders?

Depends how good they are. We are in the process of flogging one of our first teamers in exchange for an inexperienced youngster.

I'm not getting the fuss here. We are selling players in order to buy players yes? If someone wants to pay £19m for a kid with no experience then why is that our fault?
But we are exchanging players aren't we and it's the way the figures are being manipulated in the deal which is in question i guess. If the rules allow it then fine crack on.

Who are we exchanging players with? There's money involved as well. Who valued Stephen Ireland at x amount when we swapped him for Milner?

It seems odd that we finally have owners that at last know how to do business and are playing the system perfectly, yet it’s been questioned by some as terrible business. I get it that Man Utd fans are getting salty, but our own?

If two clubs come to an accepted valuation of players then who is to decide if they are right or wrong?

Were Le Harve wrong to only charge Leicester £450K for Mahrez?

Were Man Utd wrong to pay £80m for Antony?

Fee's are subjective at the time of agreement and the ultimate arbiters of what is the correct amount are the two clubs involved. Are we to have a committee deciding who is worth what, subject to being able to be sued in the long term if they get the fee wrong? It's a joke, and Man Utd fans can fuck themselves on Bournemouth Pier, red shite, glory hunting, thin skinned, gum chewer worshipping wankers.

Yanited paid Chelsea £55m for Mason Mount, Sheff Utd paid Liverpool £23.5m for Rhian Brewster after he had played 0 games for Liverpool. Clearly 'dodgy' dealing going on.

Whether we come out of the transfer window as winners/losers is a coin flip, however it is evident that the club is being run by people that are imaginative and thorough.

Man United and Newcastle risk sleepwalking into another missed season whilst they argue over Dan Ashworth.

I was under the impression that the FA or Premier League have to ratify the values of all player deals anyway?

The idiots moaning are ones who assume we are buying players we don’t need at inflated prices to cheat the system.

We bought Duran for £19m and he’d never played over here before, yet people now think Kellyman should be worth less?

Douglas Luiz is certainly not being sold at an inflated price.

People are just dicks. As always.

They're crying because we're complying by the rules, but not in the way they'd like. Namely we're not selling Martinez, Watkins, Bailey etc, at discounted rates, to them, the Red Cartel.

The Red Cartel who've been put in the shade by Man City for years and now face upstart Newcastle and Aston Villa parking tanks on their turf.

That we're selling one of our best players out the league to comply, that we're selling youth prospects to comply is just not fair on the Arsenals, Man Uniteds and Liverpools.

And the clamouring to ‘close the loophole’, ie. a basic fact of accounting.

So, are they going to stop clubs who need to sell from selling players?

Or will clubs who need to sell only be able to buy players from certain clubs?

All we’ve done is wait till our financial position for the year is 99% known so we can act, rather than selling last August without knowing what exactly we’d need to do.

We should apologise unreservedly for our owners being intelligent.

If it's true that we're getting £19m for Kellyman and paying €11m for Iling-Junior then those don't feel *quite* right based on what each have achieved.

I'm not complaining and I don't think we're doing anything wrong - but they seem a bit off-kilter.

Get used to the fans of the Sky 6 moaning about us. We're no longer the pushovers we once were and being genuine competition to them wasn't part of their plan.

Part of it will be the contract as Iling-Junior goes for free next summer if they don’t sell him. Plus I bet Iling-Junior earns a lot more than Kellyman and Juve want that wage off the books, so there’s added incentive.

It’s exactly what Forest were trying last summer around Johnson but last summer they were playing the game by themselves and none of top clubs were worried about Forest….this summer Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle and ourselves are playing the game so the status quo are rattled…it’s a beautiful thing to see!

Expect the PL at the bequest of the cartel to try and impose some new rules for next summer…hopefully the horse has bolted and all these clubs are up there to stay and hack into the cartels money pie
