Yeah fair enough those stats are very good . His overall game is raw but that's an age / experience issue. Was he awarded the goal v Liverpool , kind of deflected but he may have meant it too.

Was he awarded the goal that he scored? Yeah, I’d imagine he was.

Ok so that one bounced in off him. The stats are still ok. It's his overall game that's not up to it. Plus his attitude/ antics off the pitch. Sell.

Having cleverly navigated the PSR rules for June can we now spend big in July for a different financial year?

Yep, and presumably 23/24 accounts will look pretty good now. If we do go and spend a wad next month, that will really give other club's fans something to moan about.

New RB, sell Carlos and new CB, new DCM, new CM, new striker...with 2 quality players per position and sell those who don't fit and we're ready for the new season.

Hahaha fucking state of Man United fans moaning that we've spent a fortune, ignorant that they've spent more money on more shite than quite literally anybody in the league. Imagine outspending a side under investigation with 115 charges, then imagine being so far behind you're barely playing the same sport.

Saw a list of net spend over the last 3 seasons.

Chelsea and Manure top 2. We are 13th.

Transfermarkt has us in 6th since our return;

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/fuenfjahresvergleich/wettbewerb/GB1

Only EURO 3m above 7th. Yet apparently we got Champions League by massively overspending…

Smart player trading is the final piece of the “getting to £400m Turnover” jigsaw. About 2/3rds of that net spend was in our first 2 seasons back so to get Top 4 when we’ve been relatively parsimonious in the last 3 seasons seems like a good return on the money invested.

This news of us upsetting Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs fans etc. is something I hadn't considered but is in fact most welcome.

It seems entirely ridiculous that no other club has thought to do this and are instead still paying silly money for transfers one window leaving them unable to spend in the next one.

Kelleher was only worth 25-30m, but after Villa and Chelsea's "dodgy" dealings they should look for 40m, apparently. It's absolutely fine when the fees they receive are daft.

Brais Mendez from Real Sociedad being linked today . 27 year old midfielder. Surely we don't need any more midfielders?

We offered teams the chance to change the PSR rules a fortnight ago, and they voted to keep the current rules. Fans can scream and foot stamp all they want, but it's your teams' fault for voting us down, far more than it's our fault for playing by the rules in a different way.
In short, haha.

I'm not getting the fuss here. We are selling players in order to buy players yes? If someone wants to pay £19m for a kid with no experience then why is that our fault?

But we are exchanging players aren't we and it's the way the figures are being manipulated in the deal which is in question i guess. If the rules allow it then fine crack on.
