Conor Gallagher's stats (according to WhoScored) for Premier League games this season, compared to Luiz and McGinn. It's worth noting that they have McGinn playing in nine different positions this season...

         CG      DL      JM
   Tackles      2.3      1.7      1.7
   Intercepts      1.2      0.7      0.6
   Fouls      2.2      1.5      1.1
   Clearances      0.8      0.5      0.5
   Dribbles      1.2      0.8      1.3
   Blocks      0.3      0.2      0.1
   Shots      1.3      1.4      1.1
   Passes      52.2      56.4      32.6
   Key Passes      1.4      1.5      1.3
   Pass Success      91.5      89.4      82.7
   Crosses      0.5      0.9      0.7
   Long Balls      1.5      2.8      2.1
   Through Balls      0.1      0.2      0.2
   Dispossessed      1.1      0.9      1.7
   Goals      5      9      6
   Assists      7      5      4

So Gallagher is better at the defensive stuff and Dougie is better at long balls, crosses and takes penalties.

One or two comments about them being 'completely different players', doesn't sound too much like it from that and besides, a player doesn't have to be a carbon copy of another to replace him in the team. If he plays in the same kind of areas and has a similar overall impact and doesn't effect the flow of the team as a whole it doesn't really matter.

To be honest, my preference would be to keep all of the key players including Doug, and you could then say there probably isn't much point in getting Gallagher but if Doug wants out i think the younger up and coming player that ticks the Emery boxes for things like high energy and pressing would be the way to go.

would

Gendouzi , Gallagher and Barkley make up for losing Luiz?

and Mckennie is only worth £12 million anyway.    Maybe a replacement for Dendonker.

Transfermarkt has Mckennie valued at €28m so about £50m over all.

That’s too cheap for Doug isn’t it?

Weston McKennie sounds like a hotel in a motorway service station. For this reason, I'm out.

McKennie is garbage. I hope we don't go near him.

I'd be a bit wary of taking any figure from that (or similar) site as a useful gauge of what a player might actually be transferred for.

If there are other clubs looking at their numbers and thinking that we see Emi as worth €28m or Ollie as worth €65m then they might find themselves surprised at what we'd actually ask for.

Also sounds a bit like a breed of dog.

"Ah, lovely doggie, what breed is he?"
"He's a Weston McKennie"
"He's a bit fat and slow, isn't he?"

Juventus seem very keen to make a lot of noise every day. Players come, players go. Nobody buys ours for cheap.

I think simply Gendouzi and Gallagher for Dendonker and a want-away Doug would do fine. If the injury problems persist with Kamara and Ramsey we'd need another, maybe even just a season loan with view to buy like we did with Zaniolo.

Yep, a Red Setter would be more like it.

Why would Luiz want out? We've just made the Champions League.

I think a very, very, very healthy skepticism is required for the summer. Unless John Percy jots it down, it's all swirl in the breeze.

According to Tom Collomosse, we’re open to selling Dougie and Juve are offering McKennie + £25-30m

He's read that tweet posted earlier then...

He's been here five years, maybe he wants a change? He might always have fancied playing in Italy and experiencing that culture, and this might be his chance.
