We don't even know what's allowable and what isn't from previous accounts, let alone what the current set of accounts look for. To think some journalist looking to increase his circulation knows better is laughable.

Memphis Depay leaving Atletico on a free transfer.

So another name to chuck in the "freebies to help build the squad on a budget" pot. Only 30, can play wide or central, been decent everywhere apart from his season at Man Utd.

You realise freebies will expect wages and a signing on fee right? Its a no for me unless hes completely free and doesnt take a spot up in the squad limits.

I'm sure Dave is aware that he won't be coming on 30k a week.

A load of football writers who know next to nothing about finance, just parroting the latest shit they’ve heard. Even Maguire doesn’t know what he’s on about re: Villa. Unfortunately, their audience does the same, just parroting the latest tweet they’ve read.

Not particularly calling anything out, but how would we know if Maguire has knowledge on Villa or not? Not saying he does or doesn’t, but rather I’d like to understand what it is that says the situation differs to his view.

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Manchester City are all big fans of Xavi Simons, but the player is pushing for a return to Barca instead.
@GraemeBailey

Yes, it is about time the first link to a future star. The good news is Barca has no money, and he would only be a starter for us.

My bad, I wasn't being serious. My sarcasm clearly didn't come across too well, lol.

No, I had no idea of that. I assumed footballers played for room and board.

Big signing on fees (Kamara / Tielemans) and big wages are something we do .

What a lovely player. Still owned by PSG though.

BBC gossip has us making a bid for Acuna, again. We're interested in Raoul Bellanova too, and Andrea Cambiaso according to Italian outlets.

All defenders, I think?

If Digne was to go , I suppose Acuna would save us about £100k a week in wages and cant imagine he would cost more than 7 milion and maybe big  Emi is a good mate too ?

I heard him on a pod quoting out of date figures from our accounts. I just thought ‘you haven’t really put much effort into this have you?’
