I'm going to bed.

I might go to bed, but I need to research bed first and see what my research tells me.

Anyway, we are all villa, UP THE STAIRS!

https://talksport.com/football/1866723/transfer-notebook-man-utd-watkins-west-ham-en-nesyri-newcastle-kelly/

This is the kind of thing that, had we not qualified for CL, might have gained some legs.  But now, nah.

There's also this https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/27945408/aston-villa-transfer-champions-league/

We will have to 'rule out a romantic reunion with Jack Grealish' because we can't spend (sorry for Sun link).

Just qualified for CL, but it's doom and gloom in the national media.

Yes they are starting their campaign to derail us straight away as they are so annoyed at our qualification!

We will have to 'rule out a romantic reunion with Jack Grealish' because we're interested in players on the way up, not players on £300k/week and on the way down.

Randy encouraged romantic nourishment, maybe he can pay-up for Grealish's return.

I believe the use of text speak is frowned upon, around these parts.

The day of the Olypiacos second leg, The Times run a story that we will not be able to play in the Champs League as our finances mean we don't meet European standards and will be kicked out like Juventus. Not seen anything else about it elsewhere.

Is that a kink?

Ha! I hadn't thought of that.

Now you mention it, that has creeped me out, as I have a bit of a feet phobia...

Load of bollocks. We've got a big new sponsors deal, a big kit deal, increased gate receipts, increased prize money for finishing 4th and a big payment coming for being in the Champions League. We'll be setting a record for the highest revenue we've ever received and possibly the highest revenue for a club outside the 'big 6 (vomit)'.

People who write this are basing on purely on historic figures because that's all that's public. Our revenue will be substantially higher but our costs shouldn't have escalated by any where near the same rate. Plus it looks like Premier League clubs will vote to increase allowable losses up to £135m for the final year of PSR.

Add any player sales and we should have some cash to spend and still be able to stay on the right side of PSR.

Europe do have separate rules though (70% of something instead of 80%), which apparently is why we voted against probably that ruling at one point.
