If he isnt playing foe playmouth what chance has he got here?

Seems both loan options were a waste of time. Could havw done with some extra bodies here

Sure, he should be back here keeping Digne and Moreno out of the side instead of not being picked ahead of whoever Plymouth play there.

Well he would obviously be on our bench as we have rarely had twi left backs.

Also you seem to forget plymouth changed their manager and man they were pretty shit after Schumacher left. Doesnt look he is a good manager. Anyways forgetting that emery signed him so he will think he is goid enough to play first team on that basis alone

I've not "forgotten" any of this.

I just don't have this peculiar obsession with our current problems being a result of not playing Kellyman or Kesler-Hayden for a few minutes of an important match, or the fact that the 19 year old who can't get a game for Plymouth is not getting a game for us either.

Well you did seem to have forgptten as it wasnt mentioned in your post and now you resort to pettiness  with your "obsession" comment

Exaggerate much dave? So you are against youngsters given opportunities at the club gotcha criticising those who want to see some of our promising youngsters given a chance? If you dont have trust in them then why bother having them on bench at all?

Ok lets stick with the same crop of knackered players and pick up injuries like rodgers has. That really helps us right now

If Luiz is to be sacrificed for PSR, I'd be making a £40m offer for Wharton at CP (on the basis we'd be getting £60m+ for Dougie).
He was superb last night. But they only bought him in January. That would be like us selling Rogers

Ernest Muci anyone?

https://sportwitness.co.uk/aston-villa-pursuing-playmaker-ahead-window-club-chief-reveals-recent-e20m-offer/

He was the lad that picked out the top corner from Kamara's dodgy pass wasn't he? He looked a decent player to be fair.

I think we need a first-choice right back, a quality DM and someone on loan to cover for Kamara. Possibly a striker depending on what happens with Duran and assuming that Hermoso is coming in with Digne going out. Don't think we need wingers/10's with Buendia being back fit and hopefully Ramsey sorting out his issues.

Aston Villa target Mario Hermoso is closing on a move to Saudi Arabia this summer, putting an end to claims that the experienced Atletico Madrid defender was poised to move to Villa Park on a free transfer. (Fabrizio Romano)

Well, if that is where his motivations lie, then he isn’t the right player for us anyway.

I can't remember if Romano was one of the pundits who put Diaby as Saudi bound as favourite location either. Obviously if the conspiracy cap is on, you could claim that as Newcastle were also after him and looked like they would fail, and the loaning laws not tightened between owners......

If this real then we dodged  a bullet as has no ambition ans only going for money. Players like this at 28 can fuck off as far as im concerned.  Going to a mediocre league just for a payday

I tend to agree.

On a sample size of about 40 minutes I saw he was dreadful against Dortmund. Although I assume that’s not representative.

IF we get to the CL then the levels of bullsh*t and ridiculousness will go through the roof regarding transfer rumours.

I went to have a look and couldn't see anything on his twitter on a quick scan of the last two days. Was it elsewhere? Do you have a link?

The only other news on Saudi's was here at Football Espana

but they went on to add.

Quote
Hermoso has been linked to Aston Villa, Besiktas and Saudi Arabia, but there are no offers on the table for Spanish defender. The closest to his signature, by virtue of putting the most effort into talks and enquiries are Saudi Arabia, with several sides in the Pro League interested in him. Salary demands will not be an issue there either.

However the reality is that no side are close to a deal as of yet, meaning if Villa are keen to pursue Hermoso, then the field is open to them to pursue him. Atletico Madrid are yet to make contingency plans at the back for his departure, but several additions are expected this summer.
